WHAT IS GRAPHENE?
Graphene is incredibly strong and is the strongest material ever tested, it is two hundred times stronger than steel but remains flexible and can stretch by as much as 25%, it is also an exceptional conductor of heat and a dry film lubricant. Graphene is made up of sheets or laminates of carbon rings forming a net-like structure one molecule thick, these can be used to form a lattice of ultrafine molecular laminates which add to the durability and resistance of materials. Graphene is also hydrophobic and repels moisture, soiling and other chemical contaminants. The benefit of following a multilayered approach is that the films retain their flexibility whilst building depth and so remain firmly bound to each other and tightly to the paintwork, enhancing wear resistance, without sacrificing the coating’s ability to expand and flex with the surface of the paint.
