Johan's Chevy C10 chassis is looking super sharp. 🤌

We're getting close now. The chassis is almost finished, with all the major fabrication wrapped up and ready to receive the body for the final time. A bit of plumbing and a few last tidy-up jobs, then it's time to drop the cab back on.

What started out as a simple LS swap quickly turned into, "this thing has to sit on its ass." From there, the classic "while we're at it" snowball took over. Every nut, bush and bolt has been replaced or upgraded, meaning this C10 is going to feel like a brand-new truck underneath.

She's going to be low. She's going to be loud. She's going to turn heads everywhere she goes.

Finally sinking our teeth into this VF Valiant.

The mission?

Take an already tough old girl and make it downright disrespectful. We're starting at the ass end, chasing the sort of fitment that gives enthusiasts a chub and has purists reaching for the keyboard.

Then there's the engine.

Let's just say it's got enough attitude to turn that chub into a hardon before the tyres have even done a full rotation.

Tough stance. Tough engine. Zero intention of being sensible.

Making solid progress on Johan’s C10 🔥

Rear chassis notch is done, all the bracing has been completed, and the 4-link setup along with all bracketry is now finished off. Engine is sitting where it should be with mounts completed and ready to go.

Next move is pulling the cab off Monday to finish the chassis work underneath before it heads away for paint.

This build is starting to look seriously tough 👊

Out with the old, in with the tough stuff 👊

We’ve pulled the tired old 10 bolt diff out of this square body C10 and upgraded it to a much stronger 12 bolt to handle the extra power, kinda like Chevs version of the Ford 9 inch💪

Blasted and stripped down, removing all the old bracketry off and cleaned up ready to go back in ready for what's next.

Next step 👉 building a triangulated 4 link setup and getting the airbags in so this thing lays it's ass on the ground! 😮‍🔥

Stay tuned… this one’s going to be a weapon.
