Really happy with our experience buying a car from GVI. One thing that really stood out to us was how transparent they are about their vehicles.

GVI is one of the few dealers I’ve seen on Trade Me that actually lists the Japan Auction Grade in their vehicle descriptions. The two cars we looked at were both graded between 4.5 and 5, which indicated excellent condition.

More importantly, when we asked to see the full auction sheet, they were able to show it to us straight away — the complete original sheet, with nothing edited, covered up or cropped out. I later purchased a Japanese vehicle history report through CarJam, which confirmed that the auction sheet provided by GVI was genuine and that the vehicle’s history in Japan was clean. This gave us a lot of confidence, especially as another dealer we visited was unable to provide the complete auction sheet.

GVI was also completely happy for us to arrange an AA Pre-Purchase Inspection, which was another big plus.

Their cars may not always be the cheapest on the market, but after comparing and test-driving the same model at several dealerships, I really felt that you get what you pay for. Being a larger dealership with their own workshop also gave us extra peace of mind.

And a special thanks to Jackie, who was fantastic throughout the whole process! Very proactive, responsive and helpful. Before delivery, he also made sure all of the small concerns we raised were properly taken care of.

Very happy with our purchase and experience with GVI. Highly recommended!
