How good is the Kāpiti Coast on a day like this? ☀️😍

One of our customers sent us these photos today while out and about in one of our trucks, and we thought they were too good not to share!

Blue skies, sunshine and Kāpiti Island putting on a pretty good show.

We’re pretty lucky to call this place home. 💚

Now we’re curious… what’s your favourite spot on the Kāpiti Coast on a sunny day like this? 👇

When moving day costs you $0 for the truck 👀

A few weeks ago we put a free day’s truck hire up for grabs, and today we got to hand the keys over to our lucky winner, Maddie 🥳

And as luck would have it, she’s moving house, so we’d say the timing worked out pretty well! We’re just hoping for the weather to play ball 🤞

And if you missed out, we’ve got some pretty great pricing on our trucks too, including a special half-day rate on our small trucks. Head over to our website for all the details 👉www.rentmerentals.co.nz

Thanks so much to everyone who entered 🙏

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧… 👀

Long before Rent Me Rentals had a second location here, Levin was home for both of us.

We’re Derek and Marcia, the owners of Rent Me Rentals. We both grew up in Levin, our families have strong ties here, and over the years there have been plenty of trips back and forth.

So when we started thinking about where Rent Me Rentals might go next, Levin just made sense.

Rent Me Rentals has been part of the Kāpiti Coast for more than 30 years, starting with one van outside a car yard and slowly growing into the fleet you see today.

We took over the business in 2018, and Paraparaumu is still very much home. But now we get to add another chapter, right back where our own stories started.

We’re starting small in Levin, with trucks and 12-seater vans available locally, plus work vans and car rentals available on request.

Looking for car rental on the Kāpiti Coast? Rent Me Rentals specialises in cars, vans, trucks, and trailers—safe, reliable vehicles for any job or journey. Give us a call or visit our website to get sorted and on the road in no time!

The secret’s out… we’re now in Levin!

You can now hire selected trucks and 12-seater vans from our new Levin location at 15 Bruce Road.

Our Kāpiti depot isn’t going anywhere. We’re simply making it a whole lot easier for our Horowhenua customers to hire closer to home.

Our Levin yard works a little differently. It’s an unattended location, so bookings are essential, but don’t worry, we’re not just leaving you to figure it out! Someone from the Rent Me team will meet you there for your pick-up and return.

For now, you’ll find:
🚚 Trucks, including our $99 half-day hire option
🚐 12-seater vans
🚐 Work vans available on request
🚗 Cars may also be available for bookings of 3+ days

It’s something we’ve been working away on behind the scenes, and we’re pretty excited to finally share it with you. 💙

Looks like everyone’s got plans this weekend… 👀

The Friday line-up is looking pretty good.

Cleaned, checked and ready to head off tomorrow morning to wherever the weekend takes them.

There’s something quite satisfying about seeing them all lined up like this… although it never lasts very long. 😂

We’ve still got a little availability across the fleet this weekend too, so if you’ve got something planned, give us a bell.

For now, we’ll enjoy having everyone in the same place before they all head off in different directions tomorrow. 🚗🚐🚚

Did you catch it? 👀

We’ve been keeping something under wraps… but not for much longer.

There might be a clue hiding in this reel if you’re quick enough to spot it. 😉

Any guesses what we’ve been up to?

All will be revealed soon.

99 days until Christmas. Sorry, WHAT?!

It feels like we’ve got plenty of year left… until you realise there’s only one long weekend between now and Christmas. 😳

Which means all those jobs you’ve been saying you’ll “definitely get to before Christmas” are starting to run out of weekends. 😂

👉The garage clear-out.
👉The tip run.
👉The spare room that’s become a storage unit.
👉That pile of stuff you’ve been strategically walking past for the last six months…

Maybe this is your sign to pick a weekend, rope in a few helpers and get it sorted before December-you has enough going on.

And if it’s a bigger job than the back of the car can handle, our trucks Huey, Dewey & Louie are just $149 for the day. Or if you’ve REALLY been putting things off, there’s always Donald, our big 20m³ truck, $239 a day until 31 October.

Plenty of room for six months’ worth of “I’ll deal with that later”.

Did someone say school holidays?! 🫨🫠

Yep. If you’re like us, you’ll be wondering how they’ve snuck up so fast… AGAIN.

Can you believe there are only 17 days until school finishes?!

Whether you’re visiting Kāpiti, a local needing an extra car for family arriving, or planning a road trip and need a van to fit everyone in, we’ve got you covered. 🚗🚐

Don’t leave the car hire until the night before you leave. Lock in your wheels now and tick one thing off the holiday to-do list.

Because the only thing you should be scrambling for is the kids’ missing shoes. 😉

Tomorrow’s line-up is looking pretty sharp 👀

Parked up, lined up and ready to roll out for a busy Saturday around Kāpiti.

Some will be moving houses. Some will be tackling the spring clear-out. And we’re willing to bet at least one is about to make someone question just how much stuff they actually own. 😂

Got a job to get done? Lock in your truck now and beat next weekend’s rush. 🚚💨
