It has been a minute since we have posted something worth a chat about. Recently I attended the MITO breakfast presentation held in Palmerston North which took leaders from across our local businesses and industry providers through the changes that are happening for both our young and adult learners.

We had guest speakers from Mito, WINZ , Pat from Palmerston North Boys High (wow what a speech!) and last but not least business owners and managers from around the region.

The future is going to be bright for our learners who are well supported across the Automotive Industry. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that avenues to assist our apprentices with mental health and also financial support already exist and available to them if required. Times have changed since I was first in the industry thats for sure!

If you have kids at college in years 12 and 13 it is worth checking out what is available to them right now before they finish school. There are programmes and opportunities available even with truck driving / licensing etc that they can do before they leave school. Check out MITO's website it is amazing!

So whats going on in the workshop this week?? Well we have got it all going on this week!

Big jobs , small jobs, late model vehicles right up to classics and trucks we are working on a bit of everything! We even got a cheeky mention in the local paper this week.. how good!

We have been doing a lot of panel replacement lately, this is where a body panel of your vehicle is either too badly damaged for repair alone and needs replacement or damage extends past those outer panels so they require removing for access to repair whats underneath.

Did you know we source, follow and supply all copies of each specific manufacturers repair specs to your insurance company? We also supply all digital records of your vehicles repair to prove compliance and also the quality of the repair are to the highest standards that you expect.

A nice little time lapse of images showing the work that goes into FULLY removing rust for a recent WOF repair carried out for our amazing customer.

Some say we go too far or you do too much ... well we don't do bog ups here we always allow to remove the rust and replace with new steel work for your peace of mind... if that is going too far then we are guilty as charged!

Well the weekend was amazing getting away and supporting the ladies division of the Punish The Pad burnout comp in Meremere.

The girls did amazing ... showing up some of the lads and getting better as the day went on.

Our car did not survive well lol! We had been working through some recent issues with the trans which we thought were sorted but alas they were not.

We managed to get out there for a little bit on the first session of the day and she was going well until it wasnt but that is the deal with this type of thing so onwards we go to bigger better solutions to problems.

Still managed to get some good photos and most importantly enjoy the weekend with some amazing people. Had an amazing time camping at the track with our son Connor over the weeked watching him making friends and influencing people from all walks of life lol

Congrats to Beaudene Hurndell one of our local lads from the Masterton Rapanats crew earning 3rd in naturally aspirated v8 class ... and it's a manual one of very few out there. Well done brother!

We are all about right time , right place encouragement to get this generation and the next off the streets and on to the pad where it belongs , teaching skills and creating connections along the way.

Sometimes you just can't predict how a repair is going to pan out.
It was an absolute privilege to have this customers camper with us for some rust removal required to receive a new wof.

With the customers permission we are grateful to be able to share this repair process with our followers. This one really was a great example where you just do not know what is hiding behind panels , structures and under old repairs waiting for us to find.

Our amazing customer loves their camper and spends quality family time away in it so it was our greatest pleasure to be able to take this on for them and restore the structural integrity of the vehicle back to better than new for them to continue enjoying their vehicle for years to come. Thank you again for choosing us as your trusted repairer and for letting us share your awesome campers story.

The repair process was lengthy we are only able to show a fraction of what was carried out but we think you will agree the result was so worth it!

Louis our talented tradesman in the panel shop takes all the credit for the great result you see along with Brendon and Deagan in the paint shop who finished it all off in top quality spies hecker 2k.

What a beautiful colour!

Thank you again George for giving us the opportunity to bring your awesome ute back to full glory again! It truly was a pleasure working with you on this project.

Thank you to our amazing trades man Brendon on the gun for creating such a beautiful finish.

Our team on the panel shop floor worked through their afternoon smoko and finished a bit later today just to see this get handed back to its owner this afternoon as promised ready to be enjoyed in the weekend! Well done lads we appreciate you!

So you might have something similar sitting in your shed we are here to help. This vehicle was driven in the shop and we managed the entire process from there for our customer from sourcing parts, through the repair process right through to co-rdinating a new windscreen from the amazing teat at Wairarapa Windscreens .

Thank you to Carters Tyres Pahiatua for sorting out the last minute wheel swap over for the customer this afternoon... dont they look hot!

Its been a while ... our talented people have being doing some awesome work lately so we thought why not share a couple of photos of what's been going on!

Here is one colour you dont often see on a commodore! How good is it though!

We started by removing EVERYTHING from this beautiful ute even the front screen came out to make sure we did the repair process and the vehicle justice. We repaired any and every little fault that needed before top coating. We even one step further on this paint job and sanded back the new clear before flow coating 2 additional coats of clear just make that gloss a little bit deeper and better!
