We have very recently realised that our website has been having issues with processing customer enquiries... to put it bluntly we have not been receiving them!

We are so sorry if anyone has sent us an enquiry through our website and we have not responded to you We were only recently made aware of the issue. This has been investigated and the fault remedied.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We have had a very busy couple of weeks in the shop with a host of different repairs happening even a refurbishment of a vintage pram! .. now that is different!

I was recently privileged enough to be asked to attend a quick fire interview styled - careers discussion with the year 12 / 13 students of Tararua Ccollege. I got to meet and talk with some of the colleges amazing students along with other local business and industry connected people. The students were switched on , engaging and had a whole lot more of an idea for the future than I did at that age. I wish all of the Tararua College students a bright future ahead.

We have had a 21st this week with our apprentice Deagan Henson in the paint shop. The team got together to wish him a very happy birthday yesterday over a meal and some banter. Happy bday mate stay safe this weekend and enjoy it!

Mid lunch yesterday we received some very special news. Pahiatua Panel and Paint Ltd recently submitted to MITO a submission on the business , our industry and how our apprentices fit in to all of that. The opportunity was to win a morning tea shout for the team and even more so share our thoughts on how it's going.

Well we didn't win but were told we came a very very close second place. Even more impressive is the winning business was Motocycle HQ here in Pahiatua. So for the entire region the top 2 businesses were both from little old Pahiatua .. must be something in the water!

I have always said that people in this town punch above their weight and it shows!

Congratulations to the team at Motorcycle HQ and congrats to our team of amazing individuals here at PPP. It says more about you than anything else!

Finally ... welcome back Suzies coffee shack!! Great to see 2 and 4 legs wandering around your business again.

We are very proud to announce Pahiatua Panel and Paint Ltd is now the newest member of the Crash Repair Association of NZ!

Its a great feeling being able to add value to an already amazing older vehicle for our customers.

This was not meant to be a restoration, this was an exercise in taking an existing platform and improving things here and there, something that our customer wanted to see achieved.

Thank you for bringing us your amazing classic and for allowing us to share these images.

Also sadly this week we lost a true friend of our workshop. Neil Hasselberg was an amazing man full of life who has supported us and our business since day 1. We will miss you so much. We know you loved your classics so this one is for you Neil.

I couldn't help but share a photo of your infectious character ... what a smile!

When a customer asks us if we would like to take a photo with them it just makes our week!

Thanks Jade for bringing your vehicle in to us. It was an absolute pleasure!

Panel repairs were carried out by our talented Louis on the right.

Happy Friday everyone enjoy your weekend ahead!

It has been a minute since we have posted something worth a chat about. Recently I attended the MITO breakfast presentation held in Palmerston North which took leaders from across our local businesses and industry providers through the changes that are happening for both our young and adult learners.

We had guest speakers from Mito, WINZ , Pat from Palmerston North Boys High (wow what a speech!) and last but not least business owners and managers from around the region.

The future is going to be bright for our learners who are well supported across the Automotive Industry. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that avenues to assist our apprentices with mental health and also financial support already exist and available to them if required. Times have changed since I was first in the industry thats for sure!

If you have kids at college in years 12 and 13 it is worth checking out what is available to them right now before they finish school. There are programmes and opportunities available even with truck driving / licensing etc that they can do before they leave school. Check out MITO's website it is amazing!

So whats going on in the workshop this week?? Well we have got it all going on this week!

Big jobs , small jobs, late model vehicles right up to classics and trucks we are working on a bit of everything! We even got a cheeky mention in the local paper this week.. how good!

We have been doing a lot of panel replacement lately, this is where a body panel of your vehicle is either too badly damaged for repair alone and needs replacement or damage extends past those outer panels so they require removing for access to repair whats underneath.

Did you know we source, follow and supply all copies of each specific manufacturers repair specs to your insurance company? We also supply all digital records of your vehicles repair to prove compliance and also the quality of the repair are to the highest standards that you expect.

We are an approved repair provider for all FMG customers but we also repair for every single other insurance provider out there ... ask for us to be your trusted repairer provider today when making your claim.

We will leave you with some photos of what is going on this week for us. Thank you to my team of tradesmen and apprentices we are very fortunate to have such a talented team of good people in our business.

We are also so very lucky to have the continued support of our customers , so thank you!

From all the team at PPP we wish you a wonderful week ahead!

A nice little time lapse of images showing the work that goes into FULLY removing rust for a recent WOF repair carried out for our amazing customer.

Some say we go too far or you do too much ... well we don't do bog ups here we always allow to remove the rust and replace with new steel work for your peace of mind... if that is going too far then we are guilty as charged!

Thank you to our fantastic repeat customer for letting us share these images. We appreciate you supporting local business.

Do you have an older girl you want to keep in tip top shape?... we can help!

Well the weekend was amazing getting away and supporting the ladies division of the Punish The Pad burnout comp in Meremere.

The girls did amazing ... showing up some of the lads and getting better as the day went on.

Our car did not survive well lol! We had been working through some recent issues with the trans which we thought were sorted but alas they were not.

We managed to get out there for a little bit on the first session of the day and she was going well until it wasnt but that is the deal with this type of thing so onwards we go to bigger better solutions to problems.

Still managed to get some good photos and most importantly enjoy the weekend with some amazing people. Had an amazing time camping at the track with our son Connor over the weeked watching him making friends and influencing people from all walks of life lol

Congrats to Beaudene Hurndell one of our local lads from the Masterton Rapanats crew earning 3rd in naturally aspirated v8 class ... and it's a manual one of very few out there. Well done brother!
