Epic, epic day yesterday at the otorohanga tractor pull. Weather was perfect, track was perfect and held up oh so well. Embankment was pretty full of spectators all day for a great days action including a crash and some humourous mistakes. Plenty of side bets and rivalries got settled on the track although jono vs rex in the two Giltrap AgriZone magnums will be argued for many years as to who actually won... And the John Austin Ltd yard will be an interesting place to be tomorrow with Liam Berkers in the fendt ending the case 5 year winning streak

Massive thanks to the organizers Ben Ferguson and Daniel Reymer, all the volunteer helpers, the smith family for the location to hold the event, tink for driving the traxi all day, the dude who brought his tractor all the way from wairarapa (10 hours each way) and of course all the sponsors.

Couple of big winners on the day;
Susan disher from Disher Contracting and Dana lile from Corson Maize each getting third in their classes and showing the boys how it's done.
CLAAS Harvest Centre Waikato center had a great turnout of tractors and operators on debut and ROMPED their class
Joel hanson and Scott greenhalge winning their classes on debut
Ross Thompson from RTT AGRI with yet another class win AND biggest winning margin.

Didn't get many pics because I was flat out from sun up till sundown, so ai it is lol

Oh man, oh crikey, is this climate change? Cannot ever remember a Thursday night prepping for the pull being this cold. Massive thanks to Giltrap AgriZone for the yard, forklift, wash pad, etc etc for their facilities to get setup and scrubbed. Massive thanks to Benjamin Ben Ferguson for just being him, doing the hard yards, organizing, making sure everything this gonna be spotty dog and stressing his brains out, reximus Rex Fare as always corralling the troops and organizing logistics and being chief water blaster man in near zero temps. And a MASSIVE thanks to ross Thompson from RTT AGRI for the weigh bridge once again, as always, this year setup two days early to ensure the opportunity for setups.
Legends, epic.

A lil birdie has told me that the track rebuild might be the best NZ has ever seen which is AWESOME.....BUT.... an inteligent birdie has flicked me some information that has me frothing at the bit, fizzing at the b**g hole, once confirmed will post!!! Gotta cram a lot of posts in tomorrow.... But Saturday, get out to otewa! Big day! Big action! Let's make otewa school some money!!!!

Had to run some errands this afternoon, one of which was popping into one of my fav shops.... STIHL SHOP Hamilton East. Conveniently they are also one of the original and long term sponsors of the Central Tractorpull otorohanga tractor pull so I picked up what they are supplying for the supreme winner/biggest margin/dominator prize which is..... I'm actually not sure if I'm allowed to say but man ain't no one gonna be disappointed with a brand new chainsaw......

stihl shop HAMILTON EAST is your local otorohanga Stihl shop. Owned and operated by big Joel Hansen who is born, raised, educated, trained oto. And everyone knows his parents who are stalwarts of the otorohanga community. MASSIVE THANKS for keeping us running with great gear, great service, great people especially Dave, Lisa, and Tommy tippee. Awesome team.

So excited, big machines, big prizes, weather will be perfect, get out to otewa.... It's a free event!!!!!!!

How was your weekend? Enjoyable and fun I hope.
Got plans for next weekend? Well I certainly do and it is gonna be dang enjoyable and fun as once again otorohangas biggest annual event is gonna be popping off out otewa.
What? OTOROHANGA TRACTOR PULL. Machines worth more than lambos and Ferraris getting put on their knees by incredibly competitive operators.

Where? Otewa. Head out otewa road, past otewa school on the right and the hall on the left, then hook a right into tinks driveway and find a parking spot. You genuinely can't miss it.

Who? YOU!! Spectating is FREE!!! With an awesome grassed embankment bring a blanket and chairs and enjoy the action. Don't understand what a tractor pull is about? Who cares big toys big horsepower big money, and enjoy the BBQ and snacks put on by otewa school and put the kids in the traxi for a ride.

Why? Why not? Free day out and entertainment and if you spend money it goes directly to otewa school.

BE THERE!!! Honestly such a neat day out.

Fantastic to see the bailey ingham reserves secure top spot in the division with another round to play AT HOME. Get down to the domain on Saturday and enjoy some quality football action.

Saturdays Fixtures:

The Bailey Ingham Reserves are at home for their final regular league match before the finals series. Having already secured top spot, the lads are keen to keep up momentum as they face Cambridge FC, kicking off at the Domain as 12.30.

Up the road at Huntly Domain, kicking off at 2.45, our Bulk Lines First Team look to get back into action after missing out last week due to the weather/pitch and securing more valuable competition points.

Granted this month is meant to be all about the upcoming Central Tractorpull but we have to post about the latest addition to the fleet, is a Kubota New Zealand Kubota F3690 from Agrilife, had it for a month or so with the 72" rear discharge deck and what a little monster, she just ate the grass and demanded FEED ME MORE. But I have held off on this post because at her first service she was getting all the extras like rear PTO, blower, catch/collector, 60" side discharge deck, and we all know I had to have duals and she absolutely does......
Rule of thumb you can't run a catcher mower in the wet.....
Kid at Christmas I couldn't not, and savaged it on a sports field where the cut quality was divine, a bit of roadside where the vacuum negated so much blowing down, and then savaged it on the savage block..... rule of thumb dismissed, it cut, sucked, chucked, spat it in the hopper and said meh, gimme more. What a little monster.
M6 LIL MONSTA.

Freshly cut this arvo for tomorrow's games, should be a good fast pitch, might even roll it in the morning depending on what this weather does overnight...... Both teams playing at home, and I would put my money on 2 wins for oto. Get down to the domain with a picnic blanket and nibbles for an afternoon of sports action!!

Both teams at home tomorrow!

The Bailey Ingham Reserves get the day underway against Putaruru Rangers at 12.30. The last fixture was a bit of a one sided affair in our lads favour, but we know Putaruru are a strong team and will come out blazing.

The Bulk Lines First Team then take to the Domain at 2.45 to face cross town rivals Te Awamutu for the Bailey Miezenbeek Challenge Shield. After a first round draw, both teams have a very similar record and have improved across the season so this too promises to be a great game.

Let's go OFC!
