On the dyno today setting up Scotts Rb25 Cefiro. One of the most important things to set up in any ECU is the injector opening time.
At DTS we don't guess, we don't even use the provided data with the injectors (often out of spec) we actually measure it with our scope using an amps clamp on the vehicle while running. Easily done and makes tuning with large injectors a breeze saving valuable tuning time !! Plus makes your VE maps look mint :)
With an open time measured in this case at 1.43ms and the data in the ECU as it arrived in the workshop at 0.74ms you can see that's a factor of almost 100% . If left unaddressed this would throw out ALL light load and idle tuning making the whole tuning process a complete mess.

Dream Result today after a weekend battling issues before we even got to fire it into life.
We didn’t give up and today we made some numbers we are happy with . Time to enjoy the car and hit the track next weekend at Taupo international Motorsport park.

We have been going all out on the R32 drift car we have places to be

Today we had a vehicle in that had been to another service provider for base washers about 6 months back. It had DPF problems and was running with a noticeable misfire. Injector was seized in the head from a blown base washer and had bad erosion around the cap nut. Injector had to be replaced and we recut all the injector seats basically doing the original job twice plus some.
