SEE YOU AT OUR NEW ADDRESS

We have been presented an exciting opportunity to merge SK Automotive with Auto Super Shoppe in New Plymouth.
As of Friday 14th of July we will be closing our current location and moving ourselves to the Auto Super shoppe location at 133 Molesworth street, New Plymouth (also known as Rotech Automotive).
We would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderfully loyal customers, past and present, we would not have been able to make SK Automotive what it is without your amazing level of support!
This is not goodbye, things will just look a little different, but we will still provide the excellent customer service that you deserve, and continue to work hard to help our customers with all their vehicle requirements.
We hope that we can continue to work with you and your vehicle(s) as you need us.
Take care, we will see you out there!

TASK FOR A SPECIALIST

Car diagnostic tests scan your car's components and systems to check for issues with components like the engine, transmission, oil tank, throttle, and many more. Because car diagnostic tests require specific devices and expertise to read correctly, people like Stan are the best to delegate this task to.

POTHOLES DANGER

Potholes cause hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage to vehicle wheels every year.

If you hit it hard, get out and check your wheel. A small dent or bend in your wheel will increase the chances of the tyre not remaining on the rim, especially when it’s under stress going around a corner. It could have also over-stressed the tyre’s sidewall leaving it more susceptible to being punctured. Call us for all your tyre repair/replacement needs.

SAY 'NO' TO TIRED TYRES
Many people don’t realise you can quickly measure the tread of your tyres using a 20c coin.
The bottom of the ‘20’ is approximately 2mm from the edge of the coin, so with the number facing towards you, insert the coin into the tread of the tyre. If you can read the whole number your tyre is getting close to the 1.5mm minimum legal depth for a WoF and it’s time to replace it.
If the digits are still partly concealed, you know the tread of your tyre is still within the legal guidelines.
