Nelson Boating Community Ensuring all Nelson boaties have access to a safe and user friendly marina, boat ramp and trailer pa Your time is here now Nelson. Join and share this page.

The Nelson boating community is growing fast but much needed improvements to facilities are lagging behind. While NCC have increased the marina berths and allowed moorings to be established in the Haven, there is still a growing waiting list. The power boat, trailer sailer, rowing club, waka-ama, sea scouts and cadets, all using the boat ramp, are struggling with out dated facilities that are not only un-safe but no longer meet anyones needs. With summer queues that stretch from the ramp all the way down Akersten street its time our boating community had a voice and was heard on what we would like to see to help alleviate some of the congestion and help plan for a better future. This page is for you to get your views heard and become a voice for our local boating community. We want your opinion, your views and help to make Nelson the best boating facility in New Zealand.

Interesting the amount of offending going on in NZ, very disappointing.

🦈 HELP US BRING THIS HOME! 🦈

We've had a great start to our Great White Shark Tagging Campaign, but with tagging season only a few months away, we need a few more people, businesses and clubs to jump on board and help us reach our goal!

This is an incredible opportunity to help researchers track these magnificent creatures as they travel our oceans, uncovering their movements, habitats and the mysteries of their life cycle.

Wouldn't you want to know if a Great White was cruising past Tāhunanui Beach? 🦈🌊

By supporting this campaign, you'll be helping us tag a Great White Shark that our community can name and follow as it travels our oceans!

Every donation, big or small, gets us one step closer.

👉 Tag a business. Tag a mate. Tag a club. Share the campaign.

Let's get the Nelson boating community behind this and bring it home! 💪🦈

Help the Nelson Boating Community raise $4,530 to tag, name and follow a Great White shark near Stewart Island.
