The festoon lights are getting an upgrade around the park today!

Apparently when you run a holiday park, “other duties as required” includes climbing trees in the name of ✨ ambience ✨

Meet Evie 🥰

Turns out our very regular little visitor has a name!

Evie lives just across the road but apparently considers the Holiday Park her second home 😂 She’s often around demanding cuddles and scratches, soaking up the morning sun and chittering at all the birds.

We absolutely love having her around, so if you spot Evie while you’re staying with us, make sure you stop and say hello and give her all the attention she clearly deserves. 😂❤️

What a difference 12 hours makes 🌕✨

After waking up to absolutely torrential rain this morning, we certainly weren't expecting to finish the day with skies this clear!

Not a cloud in sight, stars twinkling and the moon is ridiculously bright over the park tonight.

You really never know what you're going to get in Mt Somers 😂

We love adding little things that give families another reason to slow down, get outside and spend time together.

We can't wait to see it in action!

We've only been running Mt Somers Holiday Park for a couple of months, so we're still learning something new every day.

Running a holiday park is busy, messy, and full of jobs that no one ever sees. But little moments like this make every bit of it worthwhile.

We walked into one of our cabins after a recent checkout and found this note waiting for us.

It might only be a few handwritten words, but they reminded us exactly why we're doing this.

Thank you for your kindness. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay, and your note genuinely made our day. ❤️

The boys have been asking us for weeks to take them on an adventure, so with the weather finally playing nice, we headed out to Mount Sunday, better known to many as Edoras from The Lord of the Rings.

Safe to say... our new backyard absolutely delivered.

The walk was easy enough for the boys, with little bridges, creeks and plenty to keep them entertained along the way.

Then you reach the top and are rewarded with views like these.

We honestly can't believe somewhere this stunning is less than an hour from Mount Somers Holiday Park.

Snow-capped mountains, endless views and fresh mountain air... it doesn't get much better than this.

If you're planning a stay with us, make sure you add Mount Sunday to your list. We'd do this walk again in a heartbeat.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗲'𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀?

We finally got around to giving a few of our picnic tables a bit of love.

The boys jumped straight in with the sanding and painting (there may have been more paint on them than the table at one point 😂), and we even had a local visitor, Millie, pop in to supervise. Or distract us. Jury's still out.🐾

There are 11 picnic tables around the park, so that's 3 down... 8 to go! It's one of those jobs that won't happen overnight, but bit by bit we're getting there.

👋 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲!

If you've noticed things looking a little different around here... you're right!

We're Amy and Cam, the new leaseholders of Mt Somers Holiday Park, and we're excited to begin this new chapter.

Over the coming months we'll be sharing improvements around the park, local attractions, stunning scenery and all the things that make Mt Somers such a special place to visit.

Our goal is simple - to create a welcoming place where guests can relax, explore and make lasting memories.

Whether you're a returning guest or discovering us for the first time, we're so glad you're here. We look forward to welcoming you to the park and sharing this journey with you.
