All new cars look great when they're "new", but what happens when you've put a few kms on it?
Well, if you had chip protection film fitted correctly from the get go then it should mostly look the same as it rolled off the showroom floor.
This Porsche 991.2 GT3 came in for a removal of the existing film (Fitted from when the vehicle was brand new 8 yrs ago) and refit of new material. The old film has done its dash by taking the physical impacts that would otherwise be on the factory paintwork itself.
During removal, we noticed immediately how tidy all the film edges are as if it's all machined edges... Well it's because it is! Shout outs to Rob and his team @ PROTECT Auto Paint Protection Ltd as they're the ones that did it originally and also where I learnt to cut my teeth in the PPF industry many moons ago!
These guys have been fitting PPF on high end luxury vehicles using factory pre-cut templates before most people even knew it existed.
On to the refitting of new film, this was just simply producing the same factory accurate templates all done in-house here at ACP and fitted with years of experience.
So now off it goes for more open road driving or even some track work perhaps!
