1987 Yamaha yz490
Decided a few months ago I was going to work on one of my own bikes and race it in the nz vmx series, so picked this one and the hours ticked by. Got to testing and still lots of nuts and bolts falling out due to vibration ( needed more lock tight and nylock nuts spring washers etc ) big job building a 40 year old bike and then to race it 🤦‍♂️forgot about the 60hp and no brakes and suspension. Requires powder coating and plating couple new plastics ,few suspension/ brake mods but otherwise ready to go for the season. Might leave most of that till later . I
Had the best time back racing a bike again can’t wait for the next one.

2014 Can-Am Commander 800, 4WD with electronic power steering and automatic transmission.

Done 24,000 km and has just been traded. It has been through our workshop for a check and is being sold as traded.

Condition & Details

* Service due only just
* Rear CV needs replacing( may have one )
* Engine oil good
* Coolant good
* Motor running well
* Diffs good
* chassis and suspension good
* tyres 1/2 worn
* A couple of broken plastics
* Cosmetic condition is average
* Flat deck
* Roof
* Half windscreen
* Seats are a bit tatty
* has 2x keys one slow and one fast
* has got the performance tune loaded
*runs and drives fine has been in use up till traded

A good project or budget side-by-side for someone who doesn’t mind doing a few repairs and cosmetic jobs. The 800R Commander uses Can-Am’s selectable 2WD/4WD system and CVT automatic transmission, with DPS available on the power-steering models. (can-am.brp.com⁠)
