More diagnosis work today. 2017 Mazda CX-5 running rough. Looking like a faulty High Pressure fuel pump. Eliminated all electrical components and connections, now time to remove pump and inspection of mechanical side. Not expecting this at 109000kms. Will keep you updated on this one. ✅

What do you think about the new Ford Bronco⁉️

Since I started my apprenticeship with Ford, the company have always come to market with some real game changes.

From the Laser, Telstar, and Courier to the EA-FG Falcon and then the Territory. The Ranger then knocked the Hilux of its number 1 position and now comes the Ford Bronco!

Do you think this will be Fords next biggest hit?

I’m looking forward to seeing one, driving one and maybe owning one. Well have to wait for now 👍

More scope waveforms for the geeks out there 🧐
Today we had a Ford Ranger in limp home mode due to two faults and one was indicating 3 faulty glow plugs.

To remove and bench test 5 glow plugs would cost the customer several hours’ labour………..Let’s scope em⁉️

Wave forms are of a good glow plug and the bad ones.

The first photo shows the bad one. Blue signal showing NO CURRENT FLOW but has good voltage (yellow) signal.

Good injector has good Current Flow (blue) and good voltage (yellow)

Diagnosed first time with clear evidence of a faulty electrical part. No Guesswork, No ifs and buts. No wasted money replacing parts that don’t need replacing. Guaranteed 🏆

When another workshop can’t sort the problem on a car’s charging system 🪫🏎️because it’s charging at the correct voltages but battery keeps going flat. ⁉️
We have the equipment and training to check what others can’t. ✅
An oscilloscope waveform shows us how electrical current is flowing. This enables us to repair the customers issue first time guaranteed🏆

The alternator scope pattern on the left is the faulty alternator.

It’s very nice to be able to guarantee a fix for our client and have the data to prove an electronic part is faulty before it gets replaced.
