MASSIVE DAY TODAY! 🏁

Congratulations to all of our finalists!

We had a surprisingly low amount of rollovers in both A Mains considering just how treacherous and dangerous our oval apparently is, A huge effort from all the drivers today!

SUNDAY'S PLAN
Doors open 8am

Scrutineering
8:05am — NZ Under 16 Stockcars
8:15am — Blue & Yellow Groups
8:45am — Green & Red Groups

Cars will head onto the track after scrutineering for photos. There will be no hot laps.

Drivers Briefing: 9:30am-ish

Blue Group Race 1: 10:00am

Or earlier if we're good to go, as we were today!

NEW ZEALAND UNDER 16 STOCKCAR TITLE

The title will be run over 5 x 20-lap heats.

Any ties in points at the completion of the 5 heats will be decided by a run-off.

DAY 2 — ADVANCED SHEETMETALS LIMITED NZ STREETSTOCKS

The top 4 from each qualifying group will qualify directly for the finals.

The next 10 from each group will go into one of two repechages:

Blue & Yellow
Green & Red

The first 2 cars home from each repechage will join the 16 cars already qualified, making up the 20 car Advanced Sheetmetals Limited NZ Streetstocks Finals field.

As with Day 1, the B, C & D Mains will be based on where you finished in your qualifying group.

FAST FUEL ROTISSERIE

The Fast Fuel Rotisserie team will be up and running from 9:00am until approximately 2:30pm, so there'll be plenty of food available throughout the day.

There is a chance we will not stop for lunch, so make sure you get in early and grab something to eat!

Weekend Plan:

Scrutineering
NZ Under 16 Streetstocks: 8:05am
Blue & Yellow Groups: 8:15am
Pink & Red Groups: 8:45am
Green & Orange Groups: 9:15am

Cars will head onto the track after scrutineering for photos there will be no hotlaps.

Drivers Briefing: 9:45am
Blue Group Race 1 goes green at 10:00am

Under 16 National Titles:
Both Under 16 National Titles will be run over 5 heats.

Day 1 - Precision Signs & Wraps NZ Superstocks

The top 3 from each qualifying group will qualify directly for the finals.
The next 3 from each group will go into a repechage.
The first 2 cars home in the repechage will join the 18 cars already qualified, making up the 20 car Precision Signs & Wraps NZ Superstocks Final field.
The B, C, D & E Mains will be made up based on where you finish in your qualifying group.

Your position in the qualifying group determines which Main you go into the repechage does not affect Mains seeding.

Day 2 - Advanced Sheetmetals Limited NZ Streetstocks

The top 4 from each qualifying group will qualify directly for the finals.
The next 10 from each group will go into one of two repechages:
Blue & Yellow / Green & Red

The first 2 cars home from each repechage will join the 16 cars already qualified, making up the 20 car Advanced Sheetmetals Limited NZ Streetstocks Finals field.

As with Day 1, the B, C & D Mains will be based on where you finished in your qualifying group.

FAST FUEL ROTISSERIE
The Fast Fuel Rotisserie team will be up and running from 9:00am until approximately 2:30pm both days, so there’ll be plenty of food available throughout the weekend as there is a chance we will not stop for lunch.

The admin team are full of excitement heading into this weekend. From what we can find, these will be the biggest NZ Superstock and NZ Streetstock National Titles held to date, which is massive and a great indication of just how good a spot the hobby is in!

Friendly reminder that entries close and all payments must be made by midnight tonight for all 4 National Titles being run next weekend.

If you haven’t entered yet, or still need to make payment, make sure you get it sorted before midnight tonight.

Late entries may be accepted depending on numbers, but this is not guaranteed.

For those wondering, the wall riding blocks had the grinder taken to them Tuesday night.

Entries are now LIVE for the NZRCS 2026 New Zealand Streetstock and Under 16 Stockcar Championships, proudly brought to you by Advanced Sheetmetals

We’ve havent hosted New Zealand Streetstocks since the inaugural running in 2009 which w was taken out by 7A Paul McKay.

We’ve hosted the Under 16 Stockcars twice, with both championships being won by the little sweat 7P Hunter DeRidder, if only we could get that Hunter back 😅

We’re also stoked to have Fast Fuel Catering back on board catering the event after the fantastic support they received at the NZ Stockcar Teams Championship. More details on catering will come closer to the event.

Entries close August 28th, with payment required by this date.

If you’re entering both titles to take advantage of the combo deal, please ignore the automatic invoice and simply pay the combo price.

This will be the club’s first time hosting the NZ Under 16 Streetstock Championship and hoping for a decent turn out seeing as we are so central. It's our 3rd NZ Superstock Championship since first hosting it in 2008. Our previous champions have been 971B Richard Alexander in 2008 and 94W Cam Rollo in 2019

We’re also stoked to announce that Fast Fuel Catering will be back to cater the event after the fantastic support they received at the NZ Stockcar Teams Championship. More details on catering will be released closer to the event.

Entries are now OPEN for the 2026 Manawatu Superstock & Streetstock Championships! This is your last chance to get some valuable laps around the Palmy oval before NZ Champs later in the year.

Firstly, a huge congratulations to the Kihikihi Kings on taking out the 2026 NZRCS Stockcar Teams Championship! What an awesome weekend of racing.

2026 NZ RC Stockcar Teams Championship

Here's a quick rundown of how the weekend will work!

Day 1 – 100 Races
Teams are split into three seeded qualifying groups. Each group races a full round robin.

With only 8 teams in Group 3, they have no byes, meaning they'll finish their programme earlier than the others and will be able to get home to dinner slightly earlier,

Day 2 – 79 Races
The top two teams from each group progress to the Super 6, where they race another round robin with points reset. The top four then advance to the semi-finals and finals.

The remaining teams will be split into Tier 2 and Tier 3 based on their average points per race from Day 1, creating two evenly matched divisions to keep the racing as close and competitive as possible.

The Google Sheet and LiveRC will be running all weekend links will be posted in the comments tomorrow.

Across the weekend there will be 179 races, ensuring every team gets plenty of track time. This took a lot of head scratching to put together with the unreal number of entries. A record breaking 26 teams is absolutely crazy, so a huge thank you to everyone travelling. Please drive safe, especially with the icy mornings we've been having, and we'll see you all tomorrow!
