On our way home from Raglan, some of us finished our Sunday run with bevy, wine and hot crispy cut chips at the Whatawhata pub.

Thanks to new member Ian for the suggestion.
A nice way to end the day.

It was a sunny crisp morning for our run to Raglan yesterday. Sol Kitchen was so perfectly situated for the views and sun. They had some quirky accommodation cabins and spa pools. Will definitely return, maybe even for a hot spa.
We then went to Manu Bay and watched the surfers, with old style boards and the new foil types.
A great day for a drive.

What a wonderful turnout today for our country drive for our winter midyear lunch at the Okorirei Hot Springs Hotel. All cars kept an eye on each other, yay,we didn't lose anyone. Great job Betty & Darcy, our tail end Charlie's making sure we were all arrived together.

Today we met at the Coffee Barn Cambridge, a big shout to staff for bringing the tables outside in the sun for us to enjoy our coffees.
After coffee, we went on a joyride from Cambridge, zipping down scenic back roads, to Waharoa for a leisurely late morning tea at the Sweet Painted Lady Cafe. Kai and the staff gave us a warm welcome to our club members, and their food and coffee were fantastic. They even gave members a free sweet treat before we left. Their pies alone are worth a visit folks. ☕🥟🧁

A weekend escape from 20-22/3/2026 was organized by members Darcy and Betty Lupton. We set out from Cambridge on Friday, bound for Te Aroha, where Gwenda and Warren provided a warm welcome with morning tea. Upon arrival at Athenree, the group assembled for afternoon drinks, followed by a BBQ dinner skillfully prepared by Betty, Gloria & Florence and cooked by Darcy and Nigel.
On Saturday, a leisurely drive was taken, with a pause for coffee at the Flat White Cafe in Waihi, situated by the beach.
We then enjoyed dinner at the Waihi RSA and appreciated the shuttle service for transportation on Saturday evening.
On Sunday morning, we departed for home.
Our thanks to Darcy & Betty Lupton for organizing a great weekend away again.
