RANGER TO CONQUER THE COAST
Well known East Coast identity and local Farmer, John Rouse recently took possession of a new 2026 Ford Ranger XL 4WD Doublecab fully acccessorised to help conquer the rugged terrain where the Ranger will be operating.
Fitted with an ARB Bullbar and Spotlights, a Liftkit and Heavy Duty Rear Springs were added to give extra ground clearance for off road work.
A Snorkel was included to provide that extra river crossing ability.
Add bigger Alloy Wheels and Hankook All Terrain Tyres and John’s 3.0 Litre V/6 Diesel 10 Speed Auto Ranger is well equipped to meet the coast demands.
John also contracted local Engineer Ethan Cook of Vulcan Fabrication to build a customised Flatdeck which is going to see a lot of hard work over the next few years.
As John explains he doesn’t want to get caught out in the terrain he operates and believes this specialised Ranger will provide him that surety.

Ford has confirmed the Bronco Basecamp for New Zealand. From mid-2027, and it plugs in.
Two electric motors drive it. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol behind them is a generator and nothing else — it never touches the wheels. 49kWh of usable battery, and Ford is quoting 800 to 900km all up.
The roof lifts. Both rows of seats fold flat. There's a 7.5-litre console that heats or chills, a table that folds out of the tailgate, and it'll run mains power out of the car — up to 6.6kW.
Images are Ford's, released with the announcement — that's the Outer Banks. New Zealand spec, pricing and variants come closer to arrival, and we'll put them up here as we get them.
Before anyone says it — no, it's not the V6 from the States. Ford has never built that one in right-hand drive, which is why we've never had a Bronco to sell you. Hopefully they do one day. We're happy we're getting this one.
