This year myself and four others from the Fairlie Volunteer Fire Brigade have taken up the firefighter sky tower challenge and next this weekend we will join some 1100 firefighters from around the country in Aukland to race up the Sky Tower in full firefighting kit to raise vital funds and awareness for Leukemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand (LBC). Every day 8 children and adults in New Zealand are diagnosed with a blood cancer like leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. LBC is the national charity dedicated to supporting patients and their families, this support can last months or even years. LBC receives very little government funding, so please donate and help me support this great cause. It’s simple, fast and totally secure and LBC will email you a tax-deductible receipt.
