AUTOMOTIVE PERFORMANCE CENTRE -Dyno Tuning, Performance modifications and servicing

Update time…

It’s been a while since we have posted anything, the fact is we are super busy and haven’t had a chance for updates recently.

Dyno and tuning work is booked out around 5-6 weeks ahead, and the workshop is busy with race preparation, ecu install/wiring, JDM performance car modifications and custom fabrication work.

We have been working on some cool old cars and trucks too. Here’s a couple of old school rides that have been in the shop recently.

1956 F100 truck, beautiful build by the team at Maggoos! We had it in to sort out some mechanical issues and auto electrical problems. Once the clutch and wiring was sorted we gave the XFi ecu a tickle up and improved the power, torque and drivability of this nice old rig.

Holden Monaro is as in for a health check, service and then tuning of the Holley carburettor. The customer reports the car drives the best it ever has, with much smoother acceleration and better fuel economy.

Ford Es**rt is powered by a Ford Cosworth turbo, it’s a recently finished project, fitted with a Link ecu and pdm combo, we were tasked with finishing the ecu install, set up and dyno tuning. Another super tidy build, which is now ready for lvvta certification and some summer cruising

We have some awesome JDM builds happening at the moment, stay tuned for updates on a 500Kw Evo build, and a serious R34 GTR we start on soon!

Production race series 1 hour winner!

Congratulations to Simon Duffy and his crew for winning the NZIGP one hour race. Piloting his Honda Integra to a pole position and race win, first time out in the recently finished car. Powered by a Tracksport engines turbo charged B18C, this car is race prepared, set up, maintained and tuned by Hitech Motorsport. We also took care of a lot of the fabrication, sorted the wiring and will be installing a few more upgrades soon, so all the power can be unleashed!

Kosmo’s EVO 1 - “MRTP”

This is a project the team at Hitech are really proud to be a part of. Kosmo has been building this immaculate Mitsubishi EVO for a couple of years, a project started by his late brother, tragically taken too young…

Powered by a Hitech Motorsport built 2.0 litre 4G63, it’s one of our proven engine packages, with a some serious internals including a Manley steel crank, Manley Turbotuff rods, CP forged pistons, ARP fasteners, topped with a seriously modified ported head by Harris Performance featuring Kelford cams, and super tech valve train.

We added a custom Sinco exhaust manifold, Garret GTX Gen 2 3076r turbo, Turbosmart wastegate, full custom Hitech exhaust, 3.5”
Front pipe, 3” exhaust with Adrenalin r mufflers. Aftermarket fabricated inlet manifold, billet throttle body and full custom fabricated intercooler piping and cold air intake. Fuel system is pretty serous with three pumps, speedflow Teflon hoses and fittings, aeromotive regulator, etc

Controlled by a Link G4X ecu with a full compliment of sensors, tuned for flex fuel on our Dynapack dyno, it packs a serious punch 397kw at 28 psi on pump gas and a massive 467 kW at 33 psi on E85 - who says only milk and juice comes in 2 litres!

To match the go, the car has a MRP wilwood front brake kit, MCA red coil overs, full set of upgraded suspension bushes, sway bars, rebuilt gearbox, transfer and rear diff. All lubricated by the best oil in the world - Motul

We hope your brother is looking down and loving the weapon you have created Kosmo! RIP MRTP - your legacy lives on through your car! Arguably one of the tidiest EVOs around now.

Anton’s 337KW Stock Block Skyline

Originally fitted with an RB20, This car had previously had an engine conversion to an RB25DET. It had some poor fabrication, including a hacked up inlet manifold and a roughly fabricated exhaust.

The motor is largely stock except for bolt on parts like a Sinco manifold and Garrett GTX turbo. It’s had an upgraded head gasket and arp head studs previously fitted too.

We have carried out a host of modifications and upgrades at Hitech Motorsport including:

⚙️ Brand new R34 big gearbox conversion and upgraded clutch with billet flywheel

⚙️ Cusco 1.5 way plate L*D fitted and R200 diff rebuilt

💨 Plazmaman upper plenum upgrade, fuel pump, rail and Bosch injectors with Speedflow Teflon hoses. Custom breather tank and hoses

🔥 Sam fabricated a full custom stainless exhaust system- 3.5” Turbo down pipe, full 3” stainless exhaust with AdrenalinR mufflers along with custom alloy intercooler piping to suit the new plenum

💻 Full sensor package including Link CAN lambda, oil pressure, fuel pressure and knock sensors before Dwight worked his magic retuned the Link G4x ecu

Anton is stoked with the results, and planning the next lot of modifications for this Skykine.
