Hire South

Digger operator/driver wanted - Cromwell.

Busy season ahead and we need another set of hands. Operating diggers, skid steer and rollers on site, driving the 4.5T truck, and getting machines out to hire customers around Central Otago and the Wakatipu.

You'll need a full licence and real seat time in machines. Class 2 and Site Safe are a bonus (haven't got them, we'll help you get there). Mostly we want someone reliable, efficient on machines and good with customers.

Full-time or casual, depending on the person.

Interested, or know someone who'd suit? Call Simon on 027 299 6517 or email your CV to [email protected].

Spreading Christmas cheer, Hire South style 🎄🧡🖤

We jumped into Cromwell Rotary’s Charity Trees for Christmas this year and put together a Hire South themed tree. Plenty of orange, a bit of black, and mini diggers to top it off.

Annie, Jimmy and Ella did the heavy lifting, getting it decorated, complete with colouring sheets and tiny diggers.

All funds raised go straight back into supporting the local community, which is exactly why we get involved.

Merry Christmas from the Hire South crew 🎅

🚜 Laying the groundwork in Cromwell 🍇

The Hire South crew has been out trenching irrigation lines for a brand new vineyard block here in Central Otago. It’s always satisfying to help set things up from the ground up - quite literally!

This vineyard will be producing grapes before you know it, and we’re stoked to play a part in the process.

👉 Need a hand with trenching, digger work, or site prep? Get in touch.
