There are newer chassis.

There are faster chassis.

There are more expensive chassis.

But the E36 just gets drifting right.

Where does the E36 sit on your all-time drift chassis list?

Had a proper look over the Turbosmart 6262B and there’s a lot more going on with these than just the name on the compressor cover.

This one is the TS-1 oil-cooled version, running a 62mm compressor inducer and 62mm turbine exducer.

Turbosmart has put a lot of effort into keeping the whole unit lighter and more responsive. You get a lightweight 310S stainless steel rear housing, a 7+7 splitter compressor wheel, T14 Inconel turbine wheel and their dual ceramic bearing setup.

One of the things we really like is how compact and well thought out the whole package is. Even little details like the integrated front nut help reduce rotating mass compared with more traditional designs.

There are plenty of housing options available too, including V-band, T3 and T4, along with internally gated options depending on the setup.

Warranty is another big selling point. These come with a 12 month no questions asked warranty, with the option to extend that out to 24 months when paired with the applicable Turbosmart oil protection products.

In the video we go over some of the main features and compare it with a few of the other well-known turbo options on the market.

Definitely one worth looking at if you’re shopping around in the 62mm range.

CUSTOMER BUILD FEATURE — JAMES’ HONDA EG5

James has been slowly piecing together his Honda EG5 hatch, and it’s finally all come together.

The car has just been finished up and tuned at Flame, making:

457.9 HP
487.4 Torque
E50 fuel
15 PSI

The setup is running a PSR G30-660, with a bunch of supporting parts supplied by us here at Turbo Bits:

• Turbosmart Wastegate
• Turbo Bits AN Fittings
• Turbo Bits AN Lines
• Turbo Bits Mesh Filter Guard

It’s always good seeing a build come together over time, especially when we’ve been able to help supply some of the parts along the way.

Massive effort from James getting the car to this point, and a solid result from the team at Flame getting it finished up and tuned.

457.9 HP at 15 PSI in an EG hatch should make for a seriously fun little car.

Sam Lyon vs Guy Maxwell.

E36 vs A31 Cefiro. Plenty of limiter. 😂

Who are you backing in this one — Sam or Guy? 👀
