The club started as mk1 & mk2 GT , GTE ,1600E and lotus owners , as time went on and the Classic Cortina Car Club name became a regular feature at the car shows in Canterbury and other places around the country. The membership slowly grew in numbers and the Club eventually included MK3, MK4 and MK5 models. Now it is 2022 and the club in a national club with over 150 memb

ers nationally , we have members in all areas organising events and runs . The Classic Cortina Clubs role is to help members with their restoration projects, the sale and purchase of their Cortina, or just a friendly chat about a particular model they may have owned in the past. Classic Cortina Car ClubClub members meet on the first Tuesday of every month at the one good horse Avonhead from 6.30pm for dinner or 7.30pm for a chat and non-members are welcome to visit. we endeavor to keep the Event Calendar up to date on all upcoming club events and shows, grass gymkhanas and barbeques that happen through out the year, any excuse to take your Cortina out for a drive seems to appeal to most members. The Classic Cortina Car Club Nationals are on again, this time in Nelson – and everyone’s invited!

Whether you’ve got a tidy show car or a well-used daily, all Cortinas are welcome. If yours isn’t on the road yet, no stress — bring along another small Ford or just come along for the weekend.

👉 Open to everyone – you DONT have to be a club member!

It’s shaping up to be a great weekend with:

• Good food and dinners
• Plenty of time to relax, talk cars, and meet like-minded people

Thank You from the Classic Cortina Car Club!

On behalf of the Classic Cortina Car Club, we’d like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who came along to Small Ford Sunday at Kirwee today!

The day was a great success, with just under 100 vehicles on display, representing all models of Small Fords — from Escorts, Cortinas, and Capris to Anglias, Prefects, and more.

A huge thank you to Ben and Gabby from Team Hutchinson Ford in the city for the generous use of their BBQ trailer — it was very much appreciated and helped keep everyone well fed and happy!

We’d also like to sincerely thank Forbes and Bruce from Avon City Ford out in Sockburn for their kind donations toward the prizes — your support really helped make the day even more special.

It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout, a great variety of cars, and a lot of passionate people sharing stories, laughs, and a love for classic Fords.

Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the amazing small ford community behind is — so thank you all once again!

We’re already looking forward to the next one!
