One of our regulars was in for a tyre pressure inspection, while checking the pressure we noticed that one of his rear tyres was considerably lower so we removed the rim from his vehicle and noticed that there was a screw in it causing air to leak out. We fixed the puncture with our industrial grade rubber filler & covers, within 1 hour the wheel was back on the car and the customer was out the door.

We had a customer book in her Toyota Camry for a wheel alignment. When one of the tyre technicians drove the car onto the hoist he noticed the oil light on in the car. While on the wheel alignment hoist we checked the oil level in it and confirmed it was very low. We informed the customer and on approval carried out an oil change & filter change as it was overdue. Oil & filter servicing is another one of our leading services at Scobie Tyres.

Today at scobies we had a customer that bring his Smart Roadster car to us for 2 new front tyres. After talking to the customer we agreed that the MAXXIS MAP1 would be the best suited for him as he does a lot of open road driving. Whilst removing the wheels from the car we noticed that the center ring had corroded to the rim making it stuck to the car. After freeing the wheels we cleaned up the corrosion with a wire brush and also painted some copper coat onto the hubs which will prevent further corrosion and making the wheels easier to get on and off. We then proceeded to fit the tyres up and put them back on the car. Nathan.
