Why do I have to pay an excess? It’s one of the most common questions we hear after an accident.

If you were at fault, your insurance excess will generally apply. If you weren’t at fault, your insurer may be able to waive it once the other party has accepted liability.

Insurance claims can be confusing, especially when you’re already dealing with the stress of an accident.

If you’re unsure what happens next, have a chat with the Perfect Autobody team. We’re always happy to help make the repair process a little easier to understand.

One of the biggest misconceptions following an accident is that your insurance company gets to choose who repairs your vehicle.

You have the freedom to select your repairer.

If you would like Perfect Autobody to complete the work, let your insurer know when you lodge your claim. Once the claim is referred to us, we’ll contact you to arrange an assessment and guide you through the next steps.

Save this post somewhere safe, you may be glad you did.

After a collision, the visible damage doesn’t always tell the full story.

Panels can be replaced and paint can be refinished, but the structure and safety systems underneath must also be returned to the correct performance.

Our I-CAR-trained technicians access manufacturer repair information and follow the required repair guidelines for each vehicle. This helps ensure the repair isn’t simply cosmetic—it protects you and your passengers if another accident occurs.

A quality collision repair should look right, measure right and perform as intended.

A quality collision repair goes far beyond fixing what you can see.

Every component must be carefully removed, assessed and refitted to ensure the vehicle is restored correctly. From the bodywork to the finishing details, each step requires precision, technical knowledge and care.

At Perfect Autobody, we don’t simply make vehicles look repaired—we work to return them to their pre-accident condition.

Thank you to our customers for trusting Perfect Autobody with your vehicles.
