**Audi ABS Fault – C123EF0**

Got an Audi with an **ESP9 ABS control module** showing:

**C123EF0 – Hydraulic Brake Booster: Limit Value Reached?**

This fault can relate to an internal **pressure sensor issue** within the vehicle (External to the Module). After repeated key cycles, the system can lock the fault into the control module, leaving you with a very expensive replacement ABS unit.

We can repair the existing ESP9 ABS control module, saving your customer from the cost and hassle of sourcing and programming a brand-new unit.

Common across Audi models from approximately **2010–2020**, including the:

A4, A5, A6, A7, S4, S5, Q5 and Q7.

💡 How complicated can a light bulb really be?

A traditional automotive bulb is pretty simple — current passes through a tungsten filament, heating it to around 2,500–3,000°C, roughly half the temperature of the Sun’s surface, causing it to glow and produce light.

But once electronics take control, things get much more interesting!

Modern vehicles can monitor current, detect open or short circuits, pulse the circuit to check whether the filament is intact, and even use strategies to reduce thermal shock and extend bulb life.

Some modules also count repeated over-current or fault events and may eventually disable the output to protect the electronics. Others simply log a fault that can be cleared with a scan tool.

Wire & Gas VASA, held in Brisbane last weekend, was an outstanding training and education event. As a New Zealander coming over, I was genuinely amazed by the level of collaboration between suppliers, workshops, and industry professionals.
What really stood out was the willingness to share knowledge and help one another. Seeing workshops openly sharing their expertise with other members demonstrated a genuine team approach, all with one common goal: getting the customer's vehicle repaired properly and back on the road as quickly as possible.
It was a fantastic event, and I'm already looking forward to the next one!
