I’ve always said **ya gotta support the people who support you**, and with that in mind, this weekend my biggest supporter and I pointed the nose of the car toward Akaroa and disappeared for a couple of days. ❤️🚗
Sarila has been itching to get over there for ages, and considering how much she puts up with when it comes to my madness of **cars, cameras and car shows**, I figured it was about time I returned the favour.
This woman supports me through all of it. During peak car-show season she probably sees the back of my camera more often than she sees my face! 😂📸 She puts up with the early starts, the late finishes, the thousands of photos, the “just one more car” moments, and me wandering off mid-conversation because I’ve spotted something shiny with wheels.
This weekend was supposed to be a big one with the **Father’s Day Rodders Breakfast**, and normally I’d be there camera in hand, clicking away like a madman.
But sometimes you’ve gotta get your priorities straight.
There will always be another car show.
There will always be another cruise.
There will always be another shiny bit of automotive goodness begging to be photographed.
**But there is only one Sarila.** ❤️
So I figured it was far more prudent to keep **one very important woman happy than several hundred car enthusiasts!** Besides, even Cool Cruising needs the occasional relationship service interval. 😂🔧❤️
Sarila, I love you so very much, and thank you for supporting me, encouraging me, and putting up with this car-crazy, camera-wielding old bu**er.
**I intend to make sure I support you just as much as you support me.**
P.S. Absolutely loving our weekend together in Akaroa. Sometimes the best cruise isn’t about the destination, the cars or the photos… **it’s about who’s sitting beside you.** ❤️🚗
