Our team is fun, diverse, hard-working and well-supported by our successful nationwide business. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your customer service skills, improve decision-making and problem-solving abilities, and gain comprehensive knowledge of the rental car industry. We are seeking enthusiastic and helpful individuals who can provide exceptional service to our valued customers, prepare vehicles for hire, and contribute to our five-star service reputation.

The Role
In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for driving and cleaning vehicles while engaging in a range of activities within the branch. You should be physically fit and enjoy working outside.
You must possess strong English communication skills, maintain a well-groomed appearance, and take pride in personal hygiene. Proficiency with computers is crucial for this role.
Experience driving manual vehicles is preferred; however, a willingness to learn is a must. Familiarity with small trucks and trailers is a plus.
A valid right to work in NZ is required, as we will not be providing sponsorship for this role.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Pay - $24.00 plus 8% holiday pay

This is a full-time Customer Service & Vehicle Rental Assistant role, based in our Hamilton and Hamilton Airport branches. You will be an integral part of the customer service team at Hireace, assisting customers with all their vehicle rental needs and enquiries.

What you'll be doing

Providing exceptional customer service to all Hireace customers, both in-person and over the phone

Helping customers with vehicle rentals, including reservations, pickups and drop-offs

Ensuring all rental paperwork is completed accurately and on time

Maintaining a high level of product knowledge to best assist customers

Identifying and resolving any customer concerns or issues in a timely manner

Supporting the wider rental operations team as required

What we're looking for

Previous customer service or retail experience, ideally in the vehicle rental or automotive industry

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers in a warm and friendly manner

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet

A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure

Familiarity with vehicle rental processes and procedures

Proficient in using computer systems and technology

What we're looking for

· Must have experience using Microsoft Office Word and Excel
· A commitment to delivering a high standard of customer service and keeping a positive attitude

Hours of Work: 7-Day-Per-Week Operation | Rotating Roster for 5 Days a Week, including 1 Day on the Weekend.
