HOBBYWING NZ Offroad Nationals Update #7)

Win a Losi Late model thanks to Frankton Model Shop. – On Saturday night at the track the mullet wearing good blokes at FMS will have a HOT Lap competition on the Oval track (next to the main track). For $5 you get 3 laps with a brand new Losi Late Model. Set the fastest single lap and you win the car! Proceeds going to BRCCC, so get into it, pre book your laps by paying into the club account or cash it up at the event. Have some fun and support our small club.

Entries – They close 11:59pm this Thursday the 22nd. You need to be paid up!
We have received more entries than anticipated and this means we have to put on extra heats, start each day earlier etc. If you are coming please enter asap. If you have entered but are no longer coming please just flick us a msg.

Social dinner – we have over 70 people booked for this. If you are coming please get your payment through before the end of this week. If you want to come you need to let us know by the end of this week.

Pits – The covered pit area is complete. Thanks to people paying their entries we have been able to invest in the facilities for traveling guys. There are 40 spots here and most are taken. If you are traveling and need pit space, please message us.

Fuel, tires etc – Bev will have a stock of fuel and Jetko tires at the track. Message us if you want your name on some.

Trackside Tunes – Comment below or message us with your fave tune and we will add it to the playlist over the weekend. Bev did a Bev thing and bought a mega sound system so if you’re from the deep south and want country music, we will play it. If you’re a mullet wearing bogan from Hamilton we can play Black Sabbath and if your from Auckland we can play some Peter Andre.

FOOD - The lovely wife's of BRCCC members have kindly donated their time to keep us all fed. Menu to come, but offering home cooked style food, cold drinks and ice blocks/cream with 100% of the money going back to the club.

HOBBYWING NZ Offroad Nationals Update #6)

A short update this week.

Thanks to event sponsors of HOBBYWING, Hobby Station, Frankton Model Shop, RougeRC, Neverland Hobbies and OutlawRC. PLEASE support these businesses and stock up on supplies for Nationals

Social Night – We have had a great response to this and have over 40 people confirmed.

We plan to finish Fri before 5pm and then go straight to the pub which is 5min up the road.

We will have all the local club guys there – so you can buy them a b**r.
We will have all our sponsors there – so you can but them a b**r too.
Darryl Maslin will be doing some interviews at the pub so this could get interesting.

If you want to come YOU NEED TO BOOK – this is easily done by messaging us via FB messenger. We need to book and the club will be charged. Places are limited and they will be allocated on a first come basis. See the pic for the menu, price etc.

HOBBYWING NZ Offroad Nationals Update #5)

Entries close Thursday 22nd October. We will provide an updated schedule after that.

Payment reminder – Thanks to those who have paid the entry fee. For those who have not, can you please pay early? We are still making track investments every weekend and this needs funding.

New trackside shop – The rumours are true! Bev will have a small shop up and running by Nationals and will hold stock of key race supplies. If you want fuel or some Jetko bar type tires at the track, get in touch with him directly.

Transponders reminder – There are 27 funky looking transponders. Message us and we will get them entered.

Nats Update #4)

Sponsorship – Mega thanks to HOBBYWING for helping us with overall sponsorship.

Track update – The track is now closed until the Nationals opening day. The small local crew have been hard at work laying down some fresh oil, so there will be plenty of time for this to soak in and be rolled before the big show.

Event setup/facilities – We will have dedicated pitting areas and areas for pit trailers. We will have a zone for camping, so please let us know if you intend to stay at the track. We have a toilet block and will have a specific battery charging area (remember your lipo charging bag). The engine tuning area will be the dirt oval track.

Car Setup – Jayden Jamieson, our resident expert with more national titles than the average guy has years racing recommends the following:

Tires - Any brand bar tire in a soft or super soft type compound is recommended.

Diffs – As a starting point for any brand, at least 30,30,10 in the diffs

Shocks - 8 hole pistons
