The XP 1000 got its seats mounted this week , initially the seats were 70mm wider than the inside of the car but I managed to whittle them down a bit. Drivers seat is standard and passengers is a tall/wide for, we larger units. I was able to keep the center consul in there as well. It's been a big week doing parts , Pyrotech Carbon Helmets, Rugged Radio intercoms, Transponders, Demon Axles and FOX shocks, lots of emails, quotes, ordering, organising freight and website work, now it's Friday avo and we are done. Racing Sunday at the Rallidrive Track Maramarua. 😎

Another new Polaris Cup car getting started. This is Offroad Racing NZ's stock UTV class , entry level into the sport and first full size car for youths moving up from the Trophykarts. This is a stock one make one model class where the emphasis is on good driving not big wallets. Polaris are backing the Class with 10% off new XP1000 Sport models and 20% off all your parts, plus a Polaris Tent comes free with every new car. These are $33000 at present, less the discount makes them $30000 drive away. With the extra safety requirements fitted and a helmet fresh air pump one can be on the track for a little over $42000, that's cheap for a new Racecar. $40000 won't even buy a gearbox for class1 buggy. Polaris has put up 2 perpetual Polaris Cup Trophies for the highest National points winner in this class , one for adults and one for youths. These have the same running gear as the RS1 single seater, which has the Turbo diffs , cv's, axles and clutch, so they should prove to be very reliable.

Here a cross has been fitted into the Yamaha YXZ rear hoop to strengthen the rollcage , contrary to what others say the seats still fit . Rear lower chassis was bent out of shape and poorly repaired , this got cut out got a new 4130 tube section bent up and the A Arm mount welded back into position.
