Never stop learning! 🛞

Yesterday we took a trip offsite to visit our good mates at Tyremax, one of our major tyre distributors.

A huge thanks to the team for giving us an awesome behind-the-scenes tour and helping us touch up on all the latest product knowledge!

From checking out tread designs to learning about the latest safety tech, trips like this mean we can always give you expert advice on the best rubber for your ride 👍

🎃 Spooky season is officially here…

But the scariest thing about October isn't ghosts or ghouls. It’s the fact that there are just over 11 weeks until the Christmas holidays 😱

🚗 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗡𝗭 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦! 🚗

Starting November 1, 2026, major updates are coming to Warrant of Fitness (WoF) inspection rules across New Zealand. Here is everything you need to know about how often your light vehicle will need a WoF! 👇

📅 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴?

🆕𝘽𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙑𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙨:
Your second WoF won't be needed until 4 years (up from 3 years).

🚘𝙑𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙨 4 𝙩𝙤 14 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙊𝙡𝙙:
From Nov 1, 2026: Vehicles registered on or after Nov 1st 2019 move to 2 yearly WoFs.
From Nov 1, 2027: The 2-year cycle expands to vehicles registered on or after Nov 1st 2013

🚙 𝙊𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙑𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙨 (14+ 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨):
Vehicles over 14 years old move to annual (12-month) WoFs from Nov 1, 2026 - replacing the previous 6 month requirement for many older cars!
- vehicles 26 years and older were previously at 6monthly checks!

💡 𝙋𝙧𝙤 𝙏𝙞𝙥: Longer gaps between WoFs mean maintaining regular servicing and safety checks between inspections is more important than ever!

Out with the old, in with the fresh! 🌿

Don't forget about the air you are breathing inside your car this spring! Take a look at the side-by-side comparison:

👈 Left: Brand new cabin air filter ready for clean air
👉 Right: Used filter full of trapped dirt, dust, and pollen after a full season of driving

As the weather warms up, a fresh cabin filter keeps dust and allergens out, ensures your A/C runs efficiently, and keeps the air inside nice and clear 🍃

If you think it could be time for a spring check up - pop in or give us a call & we will get this sorted for you!
