Be careful who you trust with your car!
We wanted to share a little insight from what we’re seeing more and more in our day-to-day work.
We’re seeing an increasing number of vehicles coming in requiring preventable costly repairs. In many cases, the issues come down to poor workmanship, incorrect installation, or tuning carried out without the appropriate knowledge and experience.
When choosing someone to work on your vehicle, we recommend looking for a few key things:
✅️ Are they a registered business with appropriate business insurance?
✅ ️Do they have the knowledge and experience to carry out the work properly and safely? Whether it’s tuning, diagnostics, or hardware installation, the quality of the work matters.
✅ ️Are you receiving a proper invoice for the work? Cash jobs with no invoice and no warranty should be considered a major red flag.
Modifying cars can be exciting, but doing it properly takes skill, experience and attention to detail. It’s not simply about making a quick change and moving on. The right approach combines technical knowledge, quality workmanship and good business practices.
Unfortunately, we’re seeing more situations where vehicles have been treated as an easy money-making opportunity rather than being looked after with the care they deserve.
Your car is an investment, and the money you spend modifying it should be spent wisely.
Do your research. Ask questions. Check reviews and recommendations. And if something doesn’t feel right or you notice red flags, don’t be afraid to walk away.
We’re always happy to provide advice and help point you in the right direction to achieve your goals — regardless of who you ultimately choose to carry out the work.
