Something else we’ve been working on since starting the shop….
As classic car owners ourselves, we know building the car of your dreams is only half the battle, the stress of moving a nearly completed car to be vinned, to a show or for the grand reveal is just as nerve racking. Trusting your labour of love to strangers raises the blood pressure:. We’d like to also offer classic car owners the service of being able to collect your vehicle from anywhere, and carry it, fully covered and secured to its next destination, wherever that may be, within New Zealand.
We purchased this vehicle almost 12 months ago, we have been planning how we would like it setup, to ensure cars are as secure as possible. While all the hard work of dismantling the vehicle to its shell , carefully labelling parts, storing delicate pieces away that will return to the vehicle.
Stripping the chassis down also ready for the same treatment from the media blasters.

Having the body shell and all panels carefully media blasted, the shop has also been busy with design ideas, planning, and purchasing parts from all over the world for this unique build.
As the parts get on their way, some by plane, others by ship, make their way through our customs department and finally arrive in the shop, it’s exciting times !!
We started with our design around the engine…..a little more on that later…but with a factory tune of 640 hp this Nash is going to move along fast !!
The Nash will be fitted with a 7 speed automatic gearbox to make driving a pleasure.
We needed to utilize a wider than standard, tyre setup but also had to incorporate a wide whitewall to get a nice classic look. These tyres then had to be made for our build !
In keeping with the classic wheel / tyre setup, what better than chrome wire spoke wheels - but Daytons are not your average wheels either, they’re exceptional !!

We’ve been busy stripping down the Nash, all parts removed carefully, bagged and tagged, then stored away, as we’re not sure just which parts will be used again and which parts will be replaced. Now with the body secured on its purpose built trolley we can head over to the media blasting booth and remove the layers of paint to reveal an idea of the life the Nash has lived up until now. The chassis will be getting a hot steam clean before being media blasted once the body is completed. 🤞🏼

🧡🧡🧡 CHECK THIS OUT !!!! 🧡🧡🧡

We restored this clients HQ LS Monaro 18 months or so ago, and he asked if we could do a little tidy up on his One Tonner…..yeah, no problem !!
This particular truck, I have personally known about for…..probably coming up 30 odd years 😳
It was bright green and owned by a character out on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, and what I think is so cool about it is that it’s still fitted with the towing deck, the west coast mirrors, the CB aerials and the CB inside ! Just oozing coolness 😎
The truck has carried various companies sign writing and logos over its time, and we felt privileged to be asked if we would put our companies logo on the side this time !! I would not have thought 30 years ago when I used to see this cruising the coast that one day our companies name would be in the door.
When you see it around at various meets and shows, have a look and a chat, it’s definitely old school cool.

Presenting……1947 Nash Ambassador !!!!!

We took delivery of this rare vehicle a little while ago…with a brief description on key points the client would like, with room for some creative vision from our team.
There has been an incredible amount of research, emails, questions, team talks and of course phone calls to various people / companies up and down the country here and overseas, to make this build a stand alone one of one build!
Some pieces of the puzzle have arrived, some are currently on a ship, on their way here.
It’s going to be an amazing build and the finished product will be a masterpiece ! !

There will be many updates as they happen, still a lot of decisions to be made, adjusted as we progress through this bespoke build. This is what client partnerships are all about, turning dreams into masterpieces.

After the rush of having a number of cars attend the 2026 Concourse D Elegance Classic Car Show, we returned to the shop to get the next project underway…..a lovely 1940 Ford Coupe !!
The owner has spent a lot of time removing all the paint from outside and inside….it was clean and ready to progress to the next stages…..
