A bit more power and a lot more confidence for Mike’s Southern Pacific inflatable.

Mike has been a customer of ours for years, and recently decided it was time to repower his Southern Pacific with a brand new Yamaha F60, trading in the existing Yamaha F50.

The main reason for the upgrade wasn’t simply horsepower.

He uses the boat to support his local Sea Scouts club, where it will regularly operate as a safety boat carrying additional people and gear. Moving up to the F60, along with the reliability and confidence of a brand new engine, made good sense for the job.

While the boat was with us, we also:
▪️ Installed the new Yamaha Motor New Zealand F60
▪️ Sorted the battery system
▪️ Tidied up the fuel system
▪️ Arranged a WOF for the trailer

Mike also runs a larger twin engine boat powered by a pair of Mercury V10s, so it’s great to continue looking after both ends of his boating fleet.

4200 hours later, it was finally time for a fresh start...

Neil’s Senator RC440 came in with a Yamaha F60 that had clocked up an impressive 4200 hours.

The engine had served well, but after that many hours it had reached the point where it was simply worn out and ready for retirement.

With Yamaha’s 0% finance offer available, Neil decided it was the right time to repower with a brand new Yamaha F60LC.

Along with the new engine, this repower included:

Emmett and Shane have been customers of ours for years, and a few years back we repowered their Fi-Glass Warrior with a Yamaha Marine New Zealand F200.

They were recently back in for their regular service and asked us to take care of the trailer WOF at the same time.

Unfortunately, once the trailer was inspected, it had reached the point where structurally it just wasn’t worth spending more money on. The better long-term option was replacement - and it’s now sitting on a brand-new trailer from DMW Trailers.

We reckon it’s completely freshened up the whole package. The boat looks awesome.

Thanks again to DMW Trailers for their ongoing support. We’ve already got another new trailer sale underway with them.

If your trailer is getting older and starting to need repairs, it’s worth looking at the overall condition before spending good money on it. Sometimes replacement simply makes more sense.

This Rayglass 2500 with a Mercury 260 diesel has been in with us for some fairly major insurance work.

▪️Full drive replacement
▪️Engine service
▪️Trailer WOF

While the insurance claim was being quoted and the work carried out, the boat was stored inside our workshop to help keep it looking as pristine as when it arrived.
