Continental’s New-Generation Tyre Launched in Nepal

Continental CrossContact A/T² Makes Its Nepal Debut Through Delta Distributors Pvt. Ltd.

The CrossContact A/T² combines on-road comfort, all-terrain capability, durability and strong traction for modern SUVs, 4x4 vehicles and compatible EV SUVs.

The tyre was launched in India in January 2026, making India one of the first markets globally to receive the next-generation product.

Built for Nepal’s Diverse Roads

Nepal’s road network spans highways, rough roads, gravel tracks and mountain routes, often accompanied by challenging weather conditions. This makes the CrossContact A/T² a relevant option for the country’s growing SUV, 4x4 and electric SUV market.

According to Continental, the new tread design features increased tread depth, deeper biting edges and rigid tread blocks to enhance handling precision and vehicle stability. Its high-void tread pattern helps the tyre manage mud, water and loose surfaces, while the open shoulder design supports self-cleaning and traction.

The tyre also features reinforced shoulder and sidewall protection to help withstand impacts from rocks and uneven terrain. Its tread design is engineered to reduce stone retention and cut-and-chip damage. For compatible electric vehicles, the robust construction and balanced performance are designed to support the demands of higher vehicle weight, instant torque and quiet on-road driving.
