Markus and Gaute have completed the installation of 4 x 20 kW SeaDrive units — the biggest installation in SeaDrive’s history.

The test results made a strong impression. Guido Cappellini was enthusiastic after the sea trial, describing the upgrade from 10 kW to 20 kW as a fantastic experience. According to the powerboat legend, the result was actually better than expected.

Already today, Team Abu Dhabi’s floating workshop is back in operation as the new season preparations are underway, with lead driver Jonas Andersson testing on the Po River.

This project is an important milestone for SeaDrive and another strong example of electric propulsion delivering real performance in real-world operations.

A full test, including detailed technical data, specifications, and a closer presentation of this unique houseboat, will be published soon.

These days, Markus and Gaute are in Italy, more specifically in San Nazzaro on the Po River, visiting none other than Guido Cappellini – 10-time F1 Powerboat World Champion.

Guido has used 4 x 10 kW POD solution from SeaDrive for four years, and now his houseboat is being upgraded with a full 4 × 20 kW setup. This is an exciting step forward and yet another proof that electric propulsion works in real-world projects.
