A vision of honor, industrial perfection, passion that gives the OCD room to thrive, and an industry-leading thirst for knowledge is what started it. There are detailers and detailing out there, but INSANITY is something else entirely. It was created by pushing the boundaries of perfection to their very limits. The motto "It's not just passion, it's obsession!" came from my love of correcting, restoring, and preserving vehicle surfaces, coupled with silencing the voice in my head to make them as good as they were always intended to be. My vision for this company was to build it on the same pillars that have guided me since childhood. I was amazed by the engineering and industrialization of German quality; I grew up listening to my father talk about it, which made me want to unravel everything I could touch and feel to better understand how it worked. I was then obsessed with the honor of work, family, and life that I saw from Japan; the way respect trickled into the craft drove me to project that same standard into everything I worked on; this became one of the greatest ways for me to enjoy my craft to the fullest. Lastly, like so many my age, I grew up on the idea of American service: honest, fulfilling, and legendary. This made me pursue that exact standard for my own life, whether in my own business or on behalf of former employers. The name came from obsessing over projects and not resting in between. Working 80 hours on 7 hours of sleep, constantly reworking areas because it was possible to get the absolute most out of them, and seeing the work hold up years later is what kept me going. Bringing your most prized possessions as close to perfection as humanly possible is what calms me, and, incidentally, it is what I do best in this life. INSANITY was created in 2016, even though I started detailing semi-professionally in 2013. I couldn't bring myself to charge for services without truly mastering the trade first. This led to extensive training, completing courses, and visiting shops and valet services across Europe before registering "INSANITY Detailing Faruk Prnjavorac" as a sole proprietorship in April 2016 and selling services to clients. Then, in 2022, I saw an opportunity to create a detailing utopia alongside partners, establishing INSANITY Detailing AS as a limited company. I ended up with half the company, but I got the chance to build a dream workplace for like-minded detailers. Unfortunately, in July 2026, I couldn't stretch either my health or my money any thinner, and filed a petition for bankruptcy after four years of working without a personal income, realizing that finding people who loved every curve, edge, paint finish, and leather surface the way I did was simply too rare, and I was sharing my sweat, blood and tears with nothing in return, and nothing to show for it. So I'm working through my own failure, moving through the positive and encouraging messages, emails, and phone calls from clients, customers, suppliers, and competitors I've received after the end, telling me to get back on that horse, to not give up, and to bring back the level of detailing that I once delivered. Rest assured, I dedicated my whole life to this trade; my story does not end here.
