A Jaguar I-PACE arrived at EV Specialists… on a trailer.
It didn’t drive in. It crawled into our story.
💀 Initial condition?
• Locked drive unit (EDU / parking lock issue)
• No response – completely dead
• Radar system failure (no communication)
• Constant 12V battery drain
• Corroded ground points (GND issues)
• Damaged bonnet airbag wiring harness
• Corroded radar wiring harness
⚠️ IMPORTANT – SERVICE ACTION H288
Affects 2019–2020 models.
👉 Symptoms:
• Flashing “P” on the dashboard
• Vehicle stuck in PARK
• No ability to move

⚠️ EV BATTERY PROBLEM?
IT MIGHT NOT BE THE BATTERY.
A Hyundai Ioniq Electric arrived at our workshop with a 12V battery that kept dying.
The strange part?
📉 No fault codes.
No warning messages.
No errors in any control module.
But the battery kept draining.
What we discovered
During diagnostics we measured the quiescent current draw and found that the vehicle was not entering sleep mode.
Some control modules remained active after shutdown, continuously drawing power from the 12V system.
Root cause
A corroded electrical wiring harness was disturbing communication between control modules on the vehicle network.
Because of this:
• the shutdown sequence never completed
• some modules stayed awake
• the vehicle slowly drained the 12V battery
And the system did not log any DTC faults.

After repair the vehicle properly enters sleep mode and the standby current returned to normal.

🔥 Tesla Model Y – No Heating? Problem Solved.
A Tesla Model Y arrived at our workshop with a complete loss of cabin heating.
The HVAC system was unable to produce heat and the vehicle reported multiple Thermal Management errors.
At first glance it looks like a simple heating issue.
In reality, in Tesla vehicles the entire thermal system works as one complex unit.
⚠️ Symptoms
• No cabin heating
• Reduced heat pump performance
• Thermal management system errors
• Unstable HVAC operation
🔍 What was the problem?
Tesla vehicles use an advanced Thermal Management System responsible for controlling temperatures of:
⚡ HV Battery
⚡ Electric motor
⚡ Inverter
⚡ Passenger cabin
The heart of this system is the Super Manifold, which controls coolant flow between multiple thermal circuits.
When this component fails, it can cause:
