Erik is in Sweden. Standing by the Amundsen - The Mid Scandinavian Sleddog Race. Checkpoint Norråker with his mate Rob. Norråker a small village in the deep woods of Jämtland. They are finished with this checkpoint this evening, the last 3 who came in ran the 350 km. From Norråker to the finish, Fjällsikten, is still 100 km. Here you see the Dutch team Buck de Lang.
It’s impressive what the teams do. Respect for the Mushers on the sled, the Handlers, assistants and the dogs. And their family, because this is no hobby, this is a way of life.
After starting Buck we were cleaning up and loading up their gear. Tomorrow there is a banket. Than they drive as quickly home they can, back to their homes. Please look on this video. Respect. 💪👍

It’s great participating on this wonderful event!!
This evening was the opening of the Amundsen - The Mid Scandinavian Sleddog Race in the church of Strömsund.
Erik got a special poem from Mascha, for his credits as volunteer and sponsor of the race.
Special thanks for this poem, Erik appreciates it very much!! All tough he’s not so good when the spotlight is on his (bold) head!! 😉😘
