Three cars in the , no assistance needed. All three cars were prepared before the rally to make sure the whole event could be attended without needing to worry about the car.
Both Datsuns and the 280 SL we built 7 years ago finished the rally without any issues. A week of regularity tests, over 2.000 km of total driving on French B-roads, including plenty of off-road stages and circuit driving. The ultimate test for any regularity rally enthusiast.

Do It In A Datsun!!!

The Spa 3 Hours was a succes.
P1 in Class, P10 over all 🏆
We couldn’t be happier with the result for this first outing. Next time though, the car will be much faster as we will be ironing out the last imperfections.

First time on track with the red and yellow Datsun 240z and we couldn’t be happier.
P1 in Class, P10 overall 🏆
At heart this is still a tarmac rally car, which we gave some racing upgrades while reviving it from its 10 years in storage.
There are lots of things we want to improve on the car, which we didn’t have the time for before the race meeting.
The car will definitely be out more this year, with plans of going to Portugal in October.

Ford Galaxie 500XL

As the name suggests, this car really is a size “XL”. Presumably one of the biggest cars one could buy in 1963, this might not have been thought of as a great race car to begin with.
Over the years these land yachts have earned their place among touring car racing legends.

For the 2026 Spa Six Hours, we will run this very special car.
A car that we have built from scratch, leaving no stones unturned. We are very excited to enter this car in the famous , and along our usual Notchback Mustang entry, we will be fighting for touring car gold! 🏆 🏁

The reassembly is well underway. All suspension parts are back on the car, and our custom aluminium parts have been anodised.
The rear differential has been built up with a new 4.11:1 gear ratio from and a Torsen style L*D.
Shifting is done through a modified Nissan S14 gearbox with a Kameari close ratio gear set and all new internals.
We build all differentials and gearboxes in house.

All new brake lines, new steering column with power steering, rebuilt door hinges with brass bushings we make ourselves, sound deadening, etc etc.
Our Safari Rally proven CV-axle set is also on this car.
We stayed with drum brakes in the rear, we find them to be more than adequate when set up properly and modified in some key areas.

The car will be done near the end of May, when we will make a thorough walk through on everything that makes this car so special. For now, we are preparing for the Spa 3 Hours, where we will be running the 240Z seen in our previous post 🏁

After 10 years in storage, the original Klaus Fritzinger Datsun 240z will be competing in the international circuit again. This car is mostly famous within the German Rally scene, having competed in several road rallies between 2005 and 2011.

The car competed, under new ownership, in and in 2015 & 2016. After which it went into storage. Now, a new engine has been built, along with a full refurbishment of the car.

From 23 to 26 April, the car will be competing in the Spa 3 Hours Race.
We are busy preparing the car, and are looking forward to supporting it for its coming races.

After a 10 year hiatus, the Klaus Fritzinger Datsun 240z will be competing again. At the end of this month, 23-26 April 2026, the car will be competing at the Spa 3 Hours race.

We will be up at the top, F1, pitboxes. If you are keen to see the car compete once again, make sure to come by. We will be testing on the Thursday, Qualy is Saturday at 16:10, and ofcourse the main race Sunday from 10:00 till 13:00.

As this car still has ALL of its original bodywork, our client decided to repaint it in its original color. 920 Safari Gold, the color this 240z left the factory with in September 1970.
We are loving this choice, because as almost everyone knows, 90% of the Z rally cars are Red.
We are now going to start putting everything back on the car. Since most parts have been test fitted, see the previous post, this shell will soon be looking a lot more like a complete car.

Lovely Jaguar XK150 S in for some small maintenance and updates.
We made a new gear lever, putting it into the perfect driving position. Changed the clutch master cilinder for one with a bigger diameter, this means the clutch actuation is a bit heavier but that means more feel, and less throw in the pedal.
Three point harnesses and an almost invisible fire extinguisher system for safety, as well as a TerraTrip Rally meter for the odd weekend regularity.
We added an emergency Anderson plug including custom jumper cables, hopefully only needed for helping others. As well as changing the battery for a new RedTop for that extra starting power.
This among some other small things completes this Jag’s stay at our shop for now, until next time! 🇬🇧 🐆

Most of the rally specific modifications are in. Rollcage, stitch welding, additional strengthening, it is all finished.
All custom parts have been made to fit before sending the car off to paint. Special note to the side exit “Monte-Carlo” exhaust, hidden washer fluid reservoir, and 110 Liter aluminium fuel tank.

All of these are made by us, and can be ordered.
