It started earlier than most people think. Even when Wim was still in school, cars were already on his mind. He explored other branches, but always came back to the same place. Cars were there from the beginning.

WTJ Trading did not start with big deals either. It started with the basics. Helping out wherever possible. Picking up cars. Driving them to where they needed to go. Handling registration transfers back when nothing was digital. That kind of work teaches the trade the real way. Responsibility, timing, and the simple truth that your word matters.

Over time, the work moved into sales and into building relationships with people. First at a trader, then at a Mercedes dealer, and later at Van Vliet. Loyalty to the companies he worked for played a big role, and those years built the foundation.

Some people see cars as product. I’ve always seen them as passion.

For me, a car has never been “just stock.” It represents taste, ambition, and the standard you choose to put your name on. That is exactly why I still care about every deal, even after decades in this business.

But in B2B trading, passion only counts when it is backed by ex*****on. Reliability, speed, and doing exactly what you say you will do. I have learned that trust is built in the small moments. Answering quickly, being honest when something is not possible, and delivering exactly what was agreed. Deal after deal, shipment after shipment.

Sold & delivered!

The past months I have had the pleasure of selling and delivering some truly special cars for the trade. Not your everyday inventory. Lamborghini Urus, Ferrari Purosangue, Aston Martin DBX-S, Ferrari 458 speciale and Ferrari 812 GTS. Cars you do not just come across anywhere.

A dealer in Hong Kong needed three units on his lot before the weekend.

It was Tuesday.

Most people would have said; not possible. I started making calls.

We had the cars ready in Europe. The question was never the cars. It was getting them there in time. Ro/ro wasn't going to work. So we switched to air freight, rerouted through a different hub, and coordinated everything on the go.

Friday afternoon, all three units cleared customs and were on the lot.

This is the part of the business people don't see. Not the cars, not the deal, but the twelve calls, the backup plan, and the partners who pick up the phone when it matters.

That's what global transport looks like when it actually works.

Wednesday morning. My phone rings.

A partner I've been working with for years. No small talk, straight to the point. He needed a specific unit for a client. Deadline was fixed. The client was counting on it.

I knew the situation. That kind of pressure is familiar to anyone in this business.

We went through the specs, got the right people involved, and worked towards handover step by step. No surprises along the way. That's the whole point.
