Most of Europe got stricter for campers in 2026. The quick rundown:
Spain: stricter coastal enforcement under the new DGT instruction PROT 2026/04 (March 2026).
France: low-emission zones expanding from around 25 cities to roughly 40 by end of 2026.
Greece: most campervan parking banned outside designated areas in 2025.
Ibiza: a confirmed campsite reservation is now required to bring a camper onto the island.
Norway: wild camping remains legal under the allemannsretten right of access.
EU-wide: B-licence holders can now drive motorhomes up to 4,250 kg, up from 3,500 kg.
