The challenge
Climate change remains one of the main societal challenges humanity is facing in the 21st century, with road transport as one of the main contributors to carbon emissions. Whilst the implementation of electric vehicles can reduce carbon emissions, the adoption is lagging as barriers exist for consumers. One important barrier is the slow charging times of electric vehicles and even fast charging is still too slow! Therefore, InMotion develops cell-level cooling technology which aims to facilitate ‘Electric Refueling’, meaning that the charging times of electric vehicles become equal to those of refueling petrol-powered cars. Our solution
We will achieve our mission by showcasing ‘Electric Refueling’ in the toughest endurance racing environments, creating an attractive image for electric vehicles by charging our concepts as fast as petrol-powered cars can be refueled. Ultimately, we will join in the Garage 56 class during the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a fully electric endurance race car.
