The last meters of its maiden drive. Today I picked up the car from tools were the car was fine tuned a put it straight on the chassis. Before that the car was inspected by jaguar. I thank everybody who helped me to made it possible to get this car on the road.

Total hrs spent 1997 hours, this is excluded the hrs spend by the professionals.

Beginning of next year the jag will go to the expert for a second and final check before going on the road.
spending almost every free weekend on the Jag it’s now the time to spend more time with my lovely wife, who had the patience to keep up with me during this project.
We will spend the weekends on short breaks with the jag. I will keep on posting the stories of the journeys.
Here are some pictures of the jag before and after.
I want to thank all my followers and the people who supported me with all their comments. It helped when I was sometimes desperate and asked myself if I could finish it, to continue.

Update August 29th, hello again my jag fans, finally after 5 years working on this project the finish is in side😀. The checklist is almost done, finalised the hood, replaced the original steering wheel, which a repaired. The original plastic cover was gone, so I replaced it with rope and epoxy. Waiting for the seats.
After that I will bring her to the garage to do a final check before going on the road.
Getting inpatient😃

Update August 7th,

Hello to all my facebook followers, I’m back. It took a long time for posting a new update. I was a little bit lost in the project. Everything took much more time than anticipated, which was quite frustrating. But the hood is done! Inside and outside.
So here are some pictures of the process.
During this time I figured out how to understand old English engineering, every time you wonder how its done take a pint of beer and you will understand 😀

Update march 25th march, actually an update from the past weeks. I’ve made a template to see if the patterns for the hood are ok. Quit happy with the result, so now its getting the final fabric. Covered and made a back part for the in internal hood.
Also working on the wooden parts for the side of the door. First layer of varnish, minimum of 6 to go.

Update January 14th ❤️, last weekend I find time to work on several parts, I made some parts that were lost during time, not that I lost them but they just weren’t there. The wood part at the door side for example. When I bought the car there was no interior hood trim, doing some field research and going on the internet, I think I found the way to make it. Anyhow the paper templates are made, before making the final one, I will make a trial fit from low cost material, to be on the safe side.

Update January 31st, “ back seats” if you can call them like that are done and put in place. All lubricants and cooling are topped off. Getting close to fire her up.
Need to wait for some final electrical connections. Getting anxious.
The cat helped me with the administration of the project.

Update Januari 16th, last weekend I went on field quest, at , gather information on the hood mainly the inside. Furthermore I placed some details on the windshield area.
Making some serious progress, probably starting soon with the hood.

Update January 10th, Made quit some progress on the upholstery part, carpets are ready and put in place.
All starting to look nice. Have To finish the back seats, and upholstery is finished.
