This lovely ‘62 L478 Beryl Green Beetle didn’t even got the change to get posted online. Sold even before we picked it up at the previous owner.. We arranged export papers and now it is on its way to the sunny France 🇫🇷 ☀️!

Volkswagen T2AB | Fully Restored | Matching Numbers | Elm Green L60D | €44,995

A rare opportunity for the true enthusiast and collector: a beautifully restored Volkswagen T2AB in its original L60D Elm Green color, presented as a matching numbers example. The T2AB is a unique transitional model between the T2a and T2b, produced from August 1971 to July 1972. With a total production of just 283,749 units and an estimated current survival rate of only 5,500 to 14,000 examples, this bus ranks among the more exclusive classics.

This particular bus underwent a complete “bolt-off” restoration in 2016 by a specialized company. Exceptional attention to detail was applied throughout the process: original bolts were reused wherever possible, factory spot welds were preserved, and maximum effort was made to maintain originality using authentic parts. Full documentation of the restoration is available for inspection.

Since the restoration, the bus has driven only approximately 1,500 kilometers over a period of 10 years and has always been carefully stored indoors in a dry, heated environment as part of a collection. Prior to sale, the bus has been fully inspected mechanically, received a major service, and had various components preventively replaced. This makes it ready for many years of carefree driving enjoyment.

In addition to being a stable investment, this T2AB is also highly suitable for rental purposes, promotional use, or as a standout feature within a business.
