It's a new week and a fresh start for achieving new goals!

Still on the matter of safe driving practices, we'll now decode those road safety signs shared on the previous post 👉🏾:

1. Do not litter: Littering the roads can cause accidents; litter is also unsightly 🤢

2. Always wear your seat belt: Seat belts are life savers and reduce the risk of death from road accidents.

3. Don't drink and drive: Not to sound cliché, but Drinking + Driving = Bad idea. Take a taxi or call a friend.

4. Maintain your car: Routine car maintenance is good practice. Keep it up!

5. Always respect the speed limit: Adhere to the speed limit of any road you're plying.

Drive responsibly and have a safe week ahead.

As we step into a new month, we implore everyone to be extra cautious while using the roads.

A few weeks ago, Mikano Motors partnered with Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and the Durojaiye Relief Foundation to sensitise the general public about the importance of applying safety measures when driving on the road.

Remember to drive carefully, and wear your seatbelt at all times! Also remember, you are not alone on the road, always put pedestrians, motorcyclists, other drivers and road users in general into consideration.

Here are a few car care tips that can help you save on fuel costs:

• CAR A/C USAGE: If the temperature outside is not so high and the road conditions are fair, please roll down the windows and turn off the A/C.

• PAY ATTENTION TO TYRE PRESSURE: Keep the tyre pressure in a reasonable PSI range and according to the car manufacturer's instructions.

• CHOOSE THE RIGHT OIL: It is recommended to use the oil with the grade suggested by the car manufacturer.

• SCREW THE FUEL TANK CAP TIGHTLY: Fuel is volatile, especially in hot weather. So screw your fuel tank cap tightly after buying fuel.

• KEEP THE AIR FILTER CLEAN: The roads are usually dusty, pay attention to regular replacement of the air filter. A CN-95 air filter as found in all our cars is always advisable.

• TURN OFF THE ENGINE WHEN IDLE: If the estimated waiting time is below 5 minutes, you can wait in the car. But if the time exceeds 20 minutes, it is suggested that you turn off the engine.
