What is NDT?
The abbreviation for nondestructive testing is NDT.
NDT is an engineering discipline that includes material and equipment testing and inspection in order to assess condition, identify faults and defects, and increase the usable life of the infrastructure that surrounds us.
The primary distinction between nondestructive testing (NDT) and alternative methods of materials evaluation is that NDT permits in-situ testing or examination of the component without altering or irreversibly harming it. In addition to many additional high-energy kinds of inspection that are specific to non-destructive testing (NDT) and would be hazardous if used to living tissue, many of the technologies created for medical imaging are also utilised in NDT.
