One of the tips to drive safely during rainy days like today 😊 (it rained cat and dog in Portharcourt this morning) is to ensure you have enough tyre tread, for the minimum acceptable tread depth in your tires.

Tires with sufficient tread provide better braking and steering response compared to those with less tread. Worn-out tires can lead to reduced road grip.

To ensure safer driving on wet roads, make sure your tires have a tread depth of at least 1.6 mm. You can easily measure this using a tread depth gauge or tread wear indicators (TWI) within the grooves. If you're uncertain, seek advice from a mechanic.

If you observe the TWI indicators wearing down, it's a sign of tire wear. In case they're no longer visible, it's crucial to replace your tires promptly to maintain road safety.
