HAS YOUR CAR SUDDENLY BROKEN DOWN?
HERE ARE EMERGENCY THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

A sudden vehicle breakdown can happen at any time and anywhere.

Knowing what to do can help keep you and other road users safe.

✅ Move your vehicle to a safe location and switch on the hazard lights.
✅ Place a warning triangle behind the vehicle to alert approaching drivers.
✅ Turn off the engine and avoid attempting repairs if you are unsure of the fault.
✅ Check for obvious signs such as overheating, a flat tyre, low fuel, or a dead battery.
✅ Keep an emergency kit in your car, including a jack, spare tyre, torchlight, jumper cables, and first-aid supplies.
✅ If your car overheats, do not open the radiator cap immediately. Allow the engine to cool down first.
✅ Contact a qualified mechanic or towing service if the problem persists.

Regular vehicle maintenance can help prevent unexpected breakdowns and keep you safe on the road.

Stay prepared. Stay safe.

*HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED OVERHEATING IN YOUR CAR?*

Car overheating is a common problem that can lead to serious engine damage if not addressed promptly.

Understanding the symptoms, possible causes, and recommended solutions can help you avoid costly repairs.

Common Symptoms of an Overheating Vehicle:
• Temperature gauge rising above the normal level.
• Steam or smoke coming from the bonnet.
• Unusual burning smell from the engine compartment.
• Loss of engine power and poor performance.
• Coolant leaking beneath the vehicle.
• Warning lights appearing on the dashboard.

Possible Causes:
• Low coolant level.
• Faulty radiator or blocked radiator passages.
• Defective thermostat.
• Malfunctioning water pump.
• Damaged radiator fan.
• Broken or worn-out fan belt.
• Coolant leaks from hoses or connections.
Recommended Solutions:
✓ Regularly inspect and top up the coolant.
✓ Check the radiator, hoses, and water pump for leaks.
✓ Ensure the cooling fan is functioning properly.
✓ Replace faulty thermostats and worn belts.
✓ Service your vehicle periodically.
✓ Avoid opening the radiator cap while the engine is still hot.
✓ Consult a qualified automobile technician immediately if the problem persists.

Regular vehicle maintenance remains the best way to prevent overheating and extend the lifespan of your engine. Always pay attention to warning signs and address cooling system issues before they become major problems.

The global electric vehicle (EV) industry is currently valued at over $1 trillion and is transitioning from early adoption into a phase of mass scaling, with electric cars now representing roughly 25% of all new car sales globally. The sector is dominated by Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and is characterized by aggressive battery cost reductions, localization of supply chains, and increasingly strict global emissions mandates.

The industry growth is driven by regulatory emission targets that are steering OEM investment toward dedicated electric platforms, rapid declines in lithium-ion battery pack costs enabled by higher energy density chemistries and large-scale cell manufacturing, expansion of charging infrastructure with faster power electronics and improved grid integration, and increased fleet electrification driven by favorable total cost of ownership models supported by high utilization cycles.

Product availability is improving through purpose-built architectures that optimize thermal management, powertrain efficiency, and software integration, while advances in materials engineering, battery management algorithms, and regenerative energy systems raise system-level performance.

An alternator overcharges when the charging system sends more voltage to the battery than required. A healthy charging system should normally produce about 13.5–14.8 volts while the engine is running.
Anything significantly above this can damage the battery and electrical components.

Common causes of alternator overcharging include:
1. Faulty voltage regulator: The voltage regulator controls the alternator's output. If it fails, the alternator may produce excessive voltage.
2. Poor battery connections or bad grounding: Loose, corroded, or damaged terminals can cause incorrect voltage readings.
3. Defective battery: A weak or damaged battery may affect the charging system and lead to overcharging.
3. Damaged wiring: Short circuits or broken wires between the alternator, battery, and regulator can disrupt voltage control.
4. Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM): In modern vehicles, the ECM sometimes controls charging voltage. A malfunction can cause overcharging.
5. Incorrect alternator installation: Using an alternator with the wrong specifications may result in excessive charging.
