This is how car registration works in China🇨🇳
1. Buy The Car & Get Purchase Documents
After paying for the car (new or used), you’ll receive:Vehicle Purchase Invoice (发票 – fāpiào)Vehicle Certificate (合格证) – for new carsTransfer Certificate – for used carsSeller’s ID/business license (for used cars)
These documents are essential. No invoice = no registration.

2. Pay Vehicle Purchase Tax
You must pay the Vehicle Purchase Tax at the local tax bureau. Usually 10% of the car’s taxable value.. You’ll receive a tax payment receipt. This step must be completed before registration.

3. Mandatory Insurance (Traffic Insurance)
