Transmission (gearbox) issues can be frustrating and stressful, but as with all car problems, early detection could prevent further, more expensive damage to your vehicle.
Here are the top three (3) transmission failure signs to watch out for:
1️⃣ Your car may stop responding to gear changes, especially when changing from Park to Drive.
2️⃣ Your car may impulsively slip in and out of gear. When this happens, the car jerks forward or revs loudly after a gear change. It is scary, dangerous and should be fixed as quickly as possible.
3️⃣ While driving, you may also notice high RPM without a corresponding increase in speed. This indicates a problem with the transmission and is usually caused by other components like the speed sensors, valve body, clutches, etc.
If you experience any of the above symptoms, it’s best to visit a professional and trusted technician as quickly as possible for proper diagnosis and repairs.
