Dino Shafeek was a Bangladeshi-British comedy actor, best known for his roles as Ali Nadim in ITV's Mind Your Language and Chai Wallah Muhammed in the BBC's It Ain't Half Hot Mum. Born in Dhaka in 1930, he moved to the UK in 1958 and became a familiar face on British sitcoms throughout the 1970s and early '80s until his death in 1984.

BREAKING:

I have confirmed that the leadership of the National Council of Traditional Rulers (NCTR), chaired by the Ooni of Ife and the Sultan of Sokoto, convened a virtual meeting today to deliberate on the potential long-term suspension of the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu 1, from the Traditional Rulers Council. During the virtual meeting, senior Traditional Rulers argued in favor of suspending the Iwo monarch due to his extraordinary actions.

Nonetheless, the Ooni of Ife, who serves as Co-chairman of the NCTR, expressed opposition to this proposal and recommended that the Oluwo be given a final warning rather than suspended.

The meeting lasted just over an hour, with the other monarchs eventually concurring with the Ooni's stance, for the present.

According to sources close to the deceased, Nurse Miriam had just returned from Nigeria where she had participated in her introduction ceremony—a joyful pre-wedding traditional rite that marks the formal meeting of both families. Friends say she was in high spirits about her upcoming marriage and had resumed her usual work routine after returning to the UK.

Her final known shift was on Sunday of the previous week. However, alarm grew when a close friend, unable to reach her by phone for days, reported her missing to the authorities.
